Why does it restrict you to two servings if each is only 8%. Is it due to assuming your getting the rest from food sources? Im doing 5-7 day fast

That's a good question. The RDA for potassium is an astronomical 4000+ mg. Most people are probably not getting half that. You have to make a very concerted effort to get that amount from food. That is why I use this supplement to add an additional 1000 mg, which probable still leaves me short of the RDA. Potassium in very high doses can apparently cause heart problems. I guess that is why they are so conservative in their recommendation.

I'm not sure what you mean by salt free. Potassium Chloride by chemical definition is a salt. It is not Sodium Chloride which is referred to as table salt and is all what we are used to having in the salt shaker. So if you are looking for "table salt free", this would be it. If you are looking for a true "salt free" Potassium Chloride, no such thing. What exactly is your concern?
