There is a good amount of padding on the part of the harness ...
From the write-up I got the impression that this harness was soft and padded. There is a good amount of padding on the part of the harness that sits on the back, but the straps that go on front of the chest and under it are not padded at all. This is where the padding is really needed. The padding on the dog's back is nice. The reflective stripe is a nice touch. The handle on the back is a convenient feature for controlling the dog as you connect and disconnect the leash. I ordered the red harness. The harness is black except for red trim on the back piece. It is very easy to put on and take off, much easier than any other harness I have used. It seems to me that the harness that does choke the dog when he decides to pull makes it easier to control the dog than this one, but I don't think choking the dog is good so I'm happy to pull a little harder on my end to keep him in line. My dog is a 72 pound 15 month old Pit Bull. He is all muscle and a real hand full when he wants to go somewhere other than where you want him to go. I am able to control him with this harness. There were no instructions included with the harness, but I don't think you will need any. I think you will be happy with it. Shipping was fast, almost as good as "prime" (3 days) for me.

Great Harness!
45lb English bulldog - He loves his harness! Don’t let the sulky sleepiness fool you. Very durable- He has been chewing on the top piece (but he’s a bulldog so he chews everything) overall great harness that has helped cut down on him pulling or jumping up etc. Will order another once he chews through this one.. 😐

Good Harness for Bulldogs
Pros: easy to put on. It just goes over their head and clips on their undercarriage so you don't have to fumble with anything complicated like double snaps or positioning it a certain way.The handle is a nice touch. Sometimes when our bulldog tank is playing at the park, we'll grab him by the handle if he's not listening. Gives great control.Sturdy, easy to clean, holds up to mud and rough housingCons: its slips and slides from side to side. Sometimes it ends up on his side, especially if he's pulling. I think it causes some mild chaffing when this happens. There is an "HDP" stitched into the top. I wish it was Tank's name instead. The HDP just looks strange.

Alphie Loves It
The chest strap is a little high for an English bulldog, however, he prefers it to his previous harness, so that's the one we go with.

Sharp plastic finish hurt the skin of my dog
I will send it back. It damaged the skin so bad. Only few hours of use. I recommend to be check the interior.

Good harness but zero "no pull" effect
I like this harness but it doesn't have even the slightest "no pull" effect. It does allow my dog to pull without choking herself, which is good, but she actually pulls harder since the pressure is now directed against her chest rather than her neck. You don't have to take my word for it, you can see from the design that the leash attaches to a D-ring on the back rather than on the front as is the case for other "no pull" harnesses. The upside is your leash won't get caught under your dogs legs but the downside is it doesn't redirect the dogs pulling force the way an actual "no pull" harness would. When I ordered this harness I figured it had some sort of special mechanism that stopped the dog from pulling but it doesn't. Some people praise the harness for helping them to control their dog but they're referring to the handle on the back which is helpful but, again, does not reduce pulling.

Finally a harness that fits my deep chested 35 lb dog!
My dog and I both absolutely love this harness. It's sturdy and fits her well, and while this isn't a no pull harness (there's no leverage against her if she pulls) she does seem far less inclined to pull or even jump when she's wearing it. That's why I got this...she was always pulling on her collar, and I was worried that would harm her in the long run.The harness does tend to slip slightly to one side, and I have had some problem with the adjustments loosening up. However, I think that's more my dog than the harness. She's a pit mix, but only weighs 35 lbs. However, he chest is very deep and narrow for her size. 24" at her girth, but not a round chest, as I mentioned...very deep and vertical. I lost count of how many different styles and sizes of harnesses I tried with her that just flat out wouldn't work before I got this one. So if you have a similar fit problem with your dog, this harness just might work for you.The size chart seems accurate. I bought both a medium and a large, and the medium is what fits her. I kept the large anyway, so I have a harness that's big enough to fit over her winter coats withought having to change the adjustments. Not entirely sure the medium would fit over her bulkier coats anyway.

Great!
Love love love this product! My 6 month old rott/lab was a terrible at pulling when we would walk, and I mean bad. With the first harness I got she would pull so hard her front legs would lift and she would pretty much walk on her hind legs, so I got a training collar but she would just choke herself! And I mean choke herself to the point that she starts hacking up spit and then go right back to pulling. This harness had good reviews and I see why, my baby girl just stopped pulling, she tried once and then never again. The way this one sits on her just works so much better. In case anyone is wonder what size to get, I got a large. She is 50 lbs now and it's a tad loose on her at its tightest but she will grow into it so I wanted it to last.

VERY happy
Arrived within 8 days of order so that was a nice surprise. Not cheap but work a treat. I have 2 crossbreeds who are half Samoyed (sled dog breed) so pull like a steam train on ordinary leads, also when they meet other dogs they have a tendency to lunge if the other dog acts aggressively & can easily pull you over, im 15 stone & I have struggled with this in the past. Not any more, the fixed handle allows me complete control, they cant pull in a different direction so I can stay balanced and they cant lunge.I modified mine slightly by adding a very short lead to the D ring, long enough to reach my hand, but short enough not to hang down too far on the dogs. The result is that when I want them to have a run, I just let go of the leads, when I want to get them back on the leads I just tell them to stop and pick up the lead end, much easier & quicker than fiddling about with lead clips.Pics attached showing the short leads I tied to the harness.

Complete control!
AMAZING!! My dog is very cheeky & knew how to get himself out of the normal harnesses but the way this one goes around his body is perfect as it doesn't allow him to do that anymore. He has gotten out of his collar and harnesses before & ran away ( very dangerous situations) I would go out with fear that it would happen but with this, I go out more often now and feeling safe that he is secure. It has honestly helped so much. He use to pull a lot but with this I can calm him down. I LOVE the handle it has so if he gets to crazy I can hold him securely. Quality wise it is also very good and secure. Strong , made very well & makes my dog look very fancy. 10/10 ! :)

Comfortable
Hi, I have a staff whom pulls when getting close to certain places due to excitement,The park, home and on public transport when getting off. With a collar she would choke herself, this harness is great she still pulls but you have ahigher level of control, the hand grip is fantastic for holding her in place when static. Not just for big breeds as my staff only small but strong.Thanks.

Hows this work then?
Err? Wow!._. Hows this work? I have a german shepherd and when i take him for a walk i usually get dragged round, which is very unpleasant, so i had a browse at some of the harnesses and this one has a lot of good reviews and thats bacause it works, i dont know how but he doesnt pull anymore and for the past week the walks have been great, really i'm quite surprised at what it does and it doesnt restrict him in anyway, i let him off the lead and he ran around and was playing as he normally does. I gave it 5 stars and definitely recommended it if you are getting dragged along by your pet pooch. this is distributed from the USA so its a couple of weeks wait for delivery. Its also easy fit but if in doubt just google "how to fit a dog harness" as long as you dont make it too tight your pooch should be a happpy chappie. The added bonus for all fans of call of duty ghosts is that if you own a German Sheperd this harness makes your dog look like 'riley' and we all know how cool riley is!
