Useful practical salt and pepper shakers
Great size and the side ridges help when gripping the two bottles. Glass bottles are a good size and weight. Lids get dented a little too easily but are still a great useful product. Holes are a good size too. Added a little uncooked rice to salt shaker to keep salt easy flowing.

excellent design, functionality, good craftmanship, and appearance.
This is a glass salt or pepper shaker that is square rather than cylindrical, and the glass is "corrugated" rather than a smooth glass, which makes them feel sturdy. They measure 6 inches in girth, and 3 1/2 inches high. The sides of the shaker are flat, but taper sharply toward the top where a round rim fits beneath the stainless steel cap. The shiny stainless steel cap has 13 holes arranged in the same pattern as a Chinese checkers board, i.e. a star with 6 points.I used these salt shakers to create gifts for my best women friends on Valentine's Day. My photos show you the shakers after I decorated them according to a gift idea from a craft magazine. I filled them with cloves or dried lavender blossoms and placed a cotton ball soaked in lavender essential oil or clove oil just inside the top of the shakers.I bought several types of shakers, and I will say these are the nicest of them, because the glass part is "corrugated" meaning there is a vertical design in the glass that runs from the top of the shaker to the bottom. On the inside of the shaker, the glass is smooth. The texture on the outside gives it some style, and it also is a more sturdy salt or pepper shaker due to the thicker glass, whichmakes it look and feel like a higher quality salt shaker.By contrast, the other glass salt shakers I bought for my project are are unremarkable. I would have bought more of this Greenbrier Salt and Pepper shaker set if more of them had been available at the time.

These shakers evoke a feeling of diner nostalgia
While these shakers remind me of something one would find it a diner, there's simple design would work well with most any table setting. Additionally they would be great at a coffee station for chocolate or cinnamon to add to coffee or tea. They're sturdy, durable, and well made

Nice for the money
One of the caps is very hard to close. Seems a little out of whack. The bottles are nice and solid and they look nice.

You Can’t Beat a Classic!
You can’t beat a classic. These old schools shakers simply work. The holes are the right size to control the amounts of pepper and salt you want to apply to your food. Due to the nature of ground pepper, it shakes out a little more slowly than salt which is perfect. Salt flows more easily but not so fast you will over season unless you aren’t paying attention.Their smaller size makes them easy to store anywhere. The size of the mouth makes them easy to refill. The glass is thick enough to consider them to be sturdy. The metal lids seem solid enough buy will surly become dented over time as has every other shaker of this style that I have ever seen.

Perfect
These are the perfect size and the "holes" where the salt and pepper come out are not too large, so you get perfect amounts of both, everytime. I really like the "ribbed" design on the glass, as well. Finally, the price is really great. Perfect! Love them.

Lids are cheap and damaged
All I was looking for were basic old fashioned salt and pepper shakers for the kitchen table. Very simple you would think. These were the right size but both of the cheap metal lids were completely dented all around. I guess you get what you pay for. I had read another review with the same issue. Why sell something that’s damaged?
