Disappointing Greasy Mess.
I'm sure that there will be some people who disagree with me, but in my opinion, this one is a dud.I was shopping for new shampoo for my cats when I came across this product, today. My cats aren't the easiest to bathe, and for certain ones I have to use waterless shampoo. This was a "no rinse, foam shampoo."I thought that it would be good so I gave it a try. Let me say how thoroughly disappointed I am.The packaging is very nice. 5 stars. The price is reasonable. 5 stars. The thickness of the product and the way in which it foams as well as the initial application is also very nice. 5 stars. The greasy mess that is subsequent the application of the shampoo is a negative five to the tenth power.I decided to try it out on my prima donna who is the only one who loves being groomed. She is not a happy cat right now.Much like other waterless or foam shampoos, the instructions state to "massage into coat, fluff with towel, and comb-thru to freshen."Oh I did that alright. However, the shampoo still would not come off of my cat's coat. It is so greasy, much like hair gel, that she is oily and looks like she should be wearing a leather jacket, smoking a cig, singing "grease is the word."The scent is repugnant also. My cat smells like candle wax.I tried adding a little water. Bad idea. It foamed up like regular shampoo and became so sudsy that I couldn't wipe it off of her fast enough. There was almost a 2021 version of "I Love Lucy" in my kitchen. Suds. More suds. More and more suds everywhere. It's been thirty minutes and her coat still hasn't dried yet. She looks oily and dirty and there are strays that looked better groomed than she. I have to again attempt to entice her with treats so I can try to wash the funk out of her coat. She has murder in her eyes, so I am planning to scribble out my last will and testament on a bag of Greenies just in case I am found dead holding a towel and a deshedding tool. Everyone will know that she did it, because she will be hissing at my corpse while the coroner attempts to pry the bottle of Fizzy Kitty out of my cold, dead, hands. It will be an episode of 48 Hours and the newspaper headlines will read: "Crazy Cat Lady Murdered By Angry Calico After A Heated Argument Over "I ❤ Pet Head" Products."I give it one star.**EDIT: After submitting my review, I again faced death head on and gave my cat yet another bath in an attempt to remove this product from her coat. It took several hours and an additional three seperate baths. The last one was with blue Dawn dish soap. Dawn works for wildlife found in oil spills, and it was the only thing that worked to remove the Fizzy Kitty from my cat. I had to bathe her in my kitchen sink because she tried drowning me in my tub. There was water everywhere and the amount of yeowling, hissing, swatting, and cursing, that ensued for the final bath could be heard all over town.I'm convinced that everyone within a two block radius overheard the event and I'm fairly certain that I heard the Mortal Kombat theme music and a loud voice shout "Finish Her!"My cat still hates me. My neighbours don't like me much right now either. Can I give this product half of a star?

Love Pet Head
This works great for my 3 elderly Maine Coon cats when they have an accident during their year-long shedding season. Lots of hairballs all year despite regular brushing, plus the oily thick hair on a Maine Coon makes this invaluable. It conditioned without stripping, yet cut down on unnecessary oils. The deshedding aspect really does work, as we could see after the bath. Old hair breaks down a bit and since we have a screen over our tub drain, we can see the results. They feel great to hold and smell beautiiful. After some brushings/combings after they dry, more of the de-shedded hair will easily brush out. Do not let the cat dry without combing and brushing as soon as the hair is nearly or all dry. If you have a cat who can hack it, or a kitten learning how to handle baths, try a blow-dryer on low heat and a gentle wide-tined comb or brush to dry your pre-towel-dried cat to keep matts from forming. That is a technique from days when a parent owned Persian cats...essential tactic for some breeds. Most good cat shampoo is not really sudsy, and you may have to use quite a bit to really coat and suds up an extra-large cat. For a short haired cat this bottle should last a long time.

Product Works Well
Just used this product for the first time yesterday and it really does seem to help loosen the mats up. We're using it on an 18 year old long haired cat that is matted pretty badly so we weren't expecting it to help at all for the point she's at, but decided to give it a try. It did seems to help, and I was able to brush out some of the really tricky mats that were really tight in there. At first she definitely wasn't thrilled by being sprayed by liquid.. but that's to be expected. I had someone distract her and she didn't seem to mind too much.My biggest critiques going forward though would be when it arrived it was leaking a bit. Luckily not too much, and they had it in a second plastic bag so it didn't soak through the shipping packaging. Maybe the lid isn't screwing on as well as it could? Or I just had one not on all the way. Just something to look in to. Then I definitely can't say I like the smell. It's meant to be watermelon, but it sort of smells like watermelon that has gone off. It's not a terrible smell, just not super pleasant and wouldn't stop me from buying/using it again.Honestly I'm just really happy to have found a product that seems to help and is safe for our cat!

Surprised my cat loves it!
My cat hates water and baths as I’m sure most cats do, he usually even hates these foamy type of soaps. I have another one for fleas that I brush him with quite often, but the scent of that one isn’t as pleasant. When I put this strawberry PetHead on him, I expected him to get grumpy and try to run away from me as he always does when I brush him with product. But to my surprise he does not! He actually loves when I brush him with this, sometimes even begs me to brush him with it. I think he likes the strawberry scenery as weird as that is to say. This is an honest reviewer from a skeptical and surprised buyer. Would recommend and would buy again. Everyone’s cat is different so I can’t guarantee your cat will love this. But it is worth a try. Smells great too. Kinda like strawberry pez candies.
