Karaoke USAM189 Professional Dynamic Microphone (Detachable Cord), Black

I got my nieces the Disney Frozen karaoke machine for Christmas and the microphone that came with it broke the first day. My 5 year old niece admittedly was twirling it by the cord and then dropped it and the electrical connection just could not be required. I ran out to Kmart to try and get a microphone replacement, knowing that it was 2 days after Christmas and their stock would likely be down. I found this microphone plus a Disney Princess microphone and a Mickey Mouse microphone and I grabbed all three. This one was actually an open box which I was skeptical about but all of the components were inside and it seems like it was better quality than the smaller dizzy microphones. I knew that I was going to keep at least one because there are two microphone jacks for duets on the Disney karaoke machines but I was very happy that the quality of this exact microphone (I scanned the bar code so I could order the ax act same one again) was ten times better than the quality of the microphone that came with the Disney unit. My 10 year old niece was smart enough to want to use this microphone instead of the Disney ones when she was singing with her sisters. I immediately jumped on Amazon to order a second one so anytime two kids are singing together, they can both have the high quality that this moderately priced microphone delivers. I was really shocked as to how clear it was when speaking or singing and how crisp and clear it was, even on A $100 Disney karaoke machine. :-) we could not be happier with this purchase. It is very durable for use with children plus I think they like that it is a little bit bigger because it seems more like the singers that they see on television versus the small microphones that come with karaoke sets for children. plus the cord is a lot longer than what usually comes with karaoke sets either for adults or for children. Not that everyone is looking to replace it Disney microphone like I was but this is just a really good microphone for a number of reasons. I have two SM57, two SM58 and two of these M89 and I use it with my Soundcraf Ui mixer and no one has been able to tell the difference between which mic I am singing from. I saw some comments about this mic's volume being low, I don't think they understand how mics work, this mic rocks. I will find out if it lasts. This mic definitely has higher volume than my Shure mic. and I love it.It is best value.

My daughter has a karaoke machine and somehow pulled the wire out of the mic. I eventually fixed it but in the meantime bought this mic as a replacement. Works great and now that I fixed the original, we have two. This one seems to be better constructed. Plug was the proper size, no issues in using it all so far, and that means it has survived one sleepover party with a group of "tween" girls

It's nice for the price. The microphone and cable are very plastic. I would recommend purchasing a different cable. The microphone is nice. I bought it to carry around with me in my guitar's gig bag just in case I ever needed it. It gets the job done. You don't have to get a high-end microphone like people always suggest. I use this one and it works fine. Sometimes, friends and family need some of my microphones to use at their events and this is the one I will be using and letting them use. Can't go wrong for the price. QUICK NOTE! The picture doesn't show it but my microphone came with KARAOKE USA on it. Just so you know.

This mic was great, for 5 min! I decided to go with a more expensive microphone as a second mic and the cheapo one that came with our machine is way better! Very disappointed

Worked well and worth the price. Ordered late Thursday night and was in the mailbox at 1:00pm Saturday. Definitely a win.

Low volume coming from this mic... works ok, not great. Would probably not buy another since there are better items on the market. Volume on karaoke machine has to be really high to hear this. The original microphone didn't have this problem.

I purchased this as a replacement mic for the one that was in the Singing Machine karaoke machine that my daughters got for Christmas. Unfortunately, that product shipped with a defective mic and the Singing Machine company refused to stand by their product. This mic is clearly better made than what was packaged with the Singing Machine and we are very happy with the quality of the mic.

So far it is working well and seems like good value for the cost.

Convenient detachable cord, very good quality sound, perfect for karaoke. Good price.

Works great. The cable connection is plastic, but for the price I guess I should not have expected a solid metal construction. Works good and Great price.
