Works great cheap fix to do yourself.
Worked great to get a McLane edger with a Briggs back up and running. I got a nice McLane edger dirt cheap off of CL since it sat a few years with ethanol gas and didn’t run. I’ve never seen such a badly corroded carb. The throttle plate was completely stuck, the float was crusty, and the pin holding the float in was stuck. I soaked it in fresh gas for a day and tons of corrosion came off and the throttle plate stared to move, rebuilt it with this kit and ran perfect. A few side notes, soaking in gas will help a lot, I also used a sos pad to clean the bowl and cleaned offices with a welding tip cleaning brush set. The carb for my machine is no longer offered so rebuilding it was the only option...also not bad only 15 bucks. My advice is on a device that isn’t used much just store it with Trufuel and avoid ruined carbs. One more advice is when installing the seat of the needle the groove goes into the carb body.

Perfect for my Craftsman garden tiller
Perfect fit for my 917.291480 Craftsman garden tiller. I first tried a cheap $12 China carb vs rebuilding the original carb, but that one had a major float needle issue and it leaked gas everywhere. This kit had everything I needed to fully rebuild the original carb and it now runs great with no fuel leak!

LOOK CLOSELY AT THE GASKETS
Used on Karcher 2400 PSI pressure washer with Briggs and Stratton engine. Everything went into place and seemed to fit well. When I opened the fuel, it would pour out the carb. I disassembled and double (triple) checked the float valve, needle, and seat. Nothing seemed wrong... I noticed it did not leak when the airbox was off, then noticed the small holes in the cork gasket between the airbox and carb did not align with the small opening on the carb. A couple minutes with an exacto knife and all was well. The existing small holes do not interfere with operation. See picture for approximate location marked in yellow. Hopefully this will help someone else from the from the frustration I went through.

OEM part
Fit and function was good.

factory parts
I tried a cheaper version first and they leaked and the carb sucked air. Ordered the real B & S kit and now the pressure washer runs fine again. Should have ordered the factory parts the first time.

Does not include carb spacer
The parts that came with the rebuild kit worked to rebuild my carburetor. The description is lacking in detail. Read the other reviews on this product. The picture showing the parts show a carb spacer. It is not included in this kit. If you need the spacer shown in the upper left in the picture do not order this kit. There are other kits that do not include this spacer at a cheaper price here on amazon. After that has been said the parts that were in the kit were easy to install / simple and took less than 30 minutes to get my tiller running again. Just a note to get the film that the ethanol gas left in the carb I used a high pressure can of break cleaner to clean the inside. If you use canned break cleaner it will swell the needle seals. So remove all plastic and rubber parts before cleaning.

ALL PARTS IN PICTURE INCLUDED
After buying a complete Carburator thinking it would work when it didn’t (made in China), I returned it and purchased this kit. All parts in picture are included and they are genuine Briggs and Stratton parts. Have not installed them yet but I’m sure everything will work just fine given the quality of parts received. Thanks.
