Nice refractory motar at a good price!! Only thing I caution against is using it on a very hot & humid day. I do understand that the directions caution you against using it in that type of weather and does not recommend it, but we gave it a shot anyways cuz we were kinda on a time frame to get a specific job done. It ended up working out pretty well, but I recommend if you do like we did and use this product in the hot weather, that you keep the hose or a bucket of water close by to prevent motar setting up to quickly!! We learned quickly to keep adding a little bit of water and it keeps the motar smooth & workable. This mortar will definitely set up quickly in the heat.Functionality:Works very well & easy to use when mixed well and kept moist.

1. The bucket opens like just about any 5 gallon paint bucket. So ignore every review complaining about it. 2. Most refractory mortars are grey and I needed to color this to match the beige brick on a project so I really appreciate being able to purchase a larger quantity of white mortar for a reasonable price. 3. The mortar works great and mixes up like any other professional grade refractory mortar.In summary: if you need a light colored refractory mortar this is a good one.

Use this product in conjunction with fire bricks I’ll purchase from Amazon and saved over $2100 on having someone do the job. I did it myself minimal time and had excellent outcome.

It was enough to fix the piece in the fireplace. But very expensive to fix a small spot

This is only the second brand of refractory mortar I have used but it was excellent. It was much better and easier to work with than the other brand I tried. I highly recommend this product.

Great quality mortar for high heat areas in Chimney. Needs 10 days cure time before fireplace use.

Very easy to work with compared to other brands. It was super easy to mix up. Only time will tell if it holds up so I’ll update the review if things change but really enjoyed working with this mix. It was on par with going rate and though it wasn’t a deal, considering the quality and quantity it ships in, I consider this a quality item at a good price.
