I bought these to hook up with my car audio system. They're amazing! I placed these under the dash, pointing the lights down towards the driver side and passenger side foot areas. Hook the positive and negative line of the lights onto the corresponding connection points on the amplifier for the subwoofer, and the lights will light up with the boom of the bass. Different low-end frequencies will light up the LEDs in different ways, and provides a great light show! They are not waterproof.- NOTE: Do some research to find out which colors are LEGAL to use in your area! Some states/regions ban using lights outside the vehicle, or in certain locations within the vehicle. And certain colors (especially law enforcement colors aka red, white, and blue) are definitely illegal to use.For instance, where I live, you can't have any flashing lights directly visible from the outside of the vehicle. Red, White and Blue colors are illegal period. Yellow, green and purple are ok to use inside the vehicle. So I put these green LEDs where I described. I work with someone who use to be law enforcement, and keeps up on laws and regulations. So he told me what I could do in my area. I advice asking your local law enforcement (non-emergency of course) to be sure what's legal.

This product is great. The only thing that I did not realize (and this was my fault) was that it needed a power supply adapter. The only thing that I would say that is negative about this product would be the sticky tape that is on the lights. It is starting to peel off already so that would be the only negative thing but that is nothing that double sided tape cannot fix! Other then that, it looks amazing behind my television and when the lights are off it is even cooler. I would recommend these!

We love these! I had bought two reels, one blue, one green. I used them in our computer room to make it more gamey like, to surprise my husband for Valentine's Day. The green is very green, but of course it's supposed to be. They are bright, but I also bought the remote for them (so worth it!) so we dimmed them a little bit. The blue set went up and sticks just fine, no issues. The green set we did have to tape up, the self adhesive didn't hold. But it was good enough to get em up so we could tape it and it's no big deal at all. They're great and I'm so glad we got these!

These are bright, easy to work with, and are up to par when it comes to function. I purchased the green color in order to update my grow for "lights off" work. It said they can't be powered beyond the 16.4 feet (5 meters), however I have two hooked up to one another and they are doing great. Realistically, you could daisy-chain several more and still be OK and under the amperage of the adapter.

I got these to set off a little gaming corner my son uses for his XBox / gaming.Although the idea is cool: LED lights with adhesive backing that can be cut/customized. The one issue: there's no way to get power to them without buying the plug-in adapter (sold on amazon for about $9).I guess I assumed it would be included (imagine buying a lamp, only to realize the plug is sold separately).So, it's a cool item, great value, easy to set up... but I think it should be more clear that it cannot be used until you purchase the specific $9 plug-in adapter!

For the price, these work OK. If you are using them for an application with limited motion, you should be fine. However, these survived about a day at Burning Man before breaking- expect them to break anywhere they are bent, anywhere you solder connections to them, and anywhere you tighten zip ties around them. I've wired hundreds of feet of this wire, if you are using it on something mobile (such as a bike or clothing), expect to run into problems after a few days of solid use.

Love the color and looks great, the only negative marks are the fact that I had to buy an extension so that the converter wouldn't sit in the air and pull down the cable and the tape is very weak and will probably fall down after a few weeks/months.

Very simple to install. 3M adhesive backing sticks well. Easy to put multiple strands together too. But one thing I didn't notice until they were stuck to the ceiling and turned on: one was a more neon green and the other slightly more 'jade'. Not noticeable to most guests, but I certainly notice it.
