They seem well made. I like the pour spouts and the lids seal well. The smaller one doesn't have a handle, but an indentation for gripping. I use the smaller one for dog food. It fits under the cabinet well, doesn't take up much room and I think it will keep the dry food fresh. The large one will be for birdseed. We'll see how it holds up in hot weather.

I ordered this to hold my bird seed and they work perfect.They are very well made and the lids fit great.I’m sure they have many other uses.If you need a quality container you can’t go wrong with these.Highly recommend.

I purchased this set to fill my feeders, I have 6. I was taking out a medium scoop with a 1.5 qt metal can of seed to top off the feeders. These hold a nice quantity of seed and pouring the seed (black oil sunflower) is easy and efficient with the fold out spouts.The negatives are that you really have to remove the lids to fill them, the lids go on and off fairly easily but you need to be certain that you have secured the lid all the way around otherwise it can pop off while filling. There is a hinged door built into the tops that you could use to fill the containers with but I found it slower to get the containers to full volume this way vs scooping the container sans top into my bin of seed. Also, filling with the top on almost always results in seed accumulating in the molded in hinge joint making closure a problem at times. The only other wish is that the plastic would have been of the same quality as Rubbermaid or Tupperware. Don't get me wrong the plastic isn't bad and they have held up well for months now but they could have been better for the price - they are only plastic after all.

Great addition

This year I decided to use my patio as my winter feeding station area. This meant keeping birdseed available so I could easily spread it. I used the large container for peanuts in the shell—for my bluejays. One edge opens easily so I can take out what amount I want. The other container holds black oilers (sunflower seed). With the pour option, I can create small piles of oilers around the patio so birds and squirrels each find their own pile of seeds to enjoy.I love this set of containers—they have many potential uses. For me, they solved some seed storage issues.

These are simply awesome. The top that opens it narrow so it's easy to fill almost any bird feeder without making a mess. I have Bird Tube feeders and this works perfect. The whole top comes off to fill the container full of bird food. Even the larger one is not very heavy because bird food is very light. Highly recommended. I keep one kind of bird food in one and another food in the other, keeps my birds happy and keeps different birds coming to the feeders.
