Solid, especially for the price.
This light has been my EDC for months so I have a decent feel for it.Positives:Construction is solid. The finish holds up well. Only minor chipping after months of use.The clip is sturdy and is reversible.Beam has a strong spot with a smooth spill area. Surprisingly good throw for such a small light. The size is just large enough to fit comfortably in my L/XL hands. The UI is fairly intuitive.Neutral:Output is good. Probably not what is advertised, but few sellers are totally honest about that.Color temperature and color rendering are not great, but that is true of almost all but high end lights so I don't count that against this light. The red light isn't hugely useful.I find the 2nd light level a little bright and wish there was something between low(1) and 2 for output. It's a minor gripe though.Battery life is what you would expect from such a small cell. It's the price of such a compact light.Negatives:The buttons can be hard to find. Doubly so if you're using gloves. The clip can rotate which makes the relation to the buttons unpredictable. If worn bezel down the clip interferes with unscrewing the light to remove the battery. Can be turned on accidentally by bumping the buttons. No light is perfect. Few at this price are this solid.*Charger*It's compact, easy to use, and seems consistent in readings and charging rate. Other than not wanting to initialize totally dead cells (typical and comes with safety and good regulation) it seems to give a stable maximum charge. I have used it with several cell sizes and had fine performance every time. The digital readout is very clear.

Is Not Reliable with the IMR18350 bhattereis
I have two of the IMR 18350 batteries and while they will work "sometimes" with my Nitcore ECII flashlight, that would be few and far between. Just took a fully charged battery and tried to muse it...NOTHING!~Using the lower power density CR123A batteries with the supplied plastic sleeve is another story. The ECII works perfect with those although battery life is minimal. Overall not a bad Flashlight and it is BRIGHT! But I have to drop two stars for reliability issues. NOT the light you grab in an emergency.

Great design and amazing output for such a small flashlight
I have a half dozen powerful LED lights from the likes of Fenix, LED Lenser, and others. I have never purchased a single cell (1 CR123 or 1 18350) flashlight in the past since they typically gave up too much light and time for the diminutive size. When I saw the EC11 come out, I was surprised that they could get that much light out of such a small package. It is just slightly longer and thicker than my thumb. It's a true EDC flashlight that you can throw in your pocket and barely know it is there. And with the reduced length, you won't have any discomfort when sitting. It has an impressive interface that is fairly easy to grasp. I like the rapid access to the lowest, highest, and strobe settings, all without cycling through options. The red LED is a bonus that I've never had and while I probably won't use it myself, it's a cool feature that doesn't interfere with every day use (it is not part of mode cycles). As far as output, it's impressive and easily on par with my Fenix PD35 (850 lumen) 2 cell light. Simply put, for something this small that can always be on person, it is all the power I need. The voltage checker comes on automatically when you open the battery compartment so it is easy to see how much juice you have or if you're putting in a battery you're not sure of. I use the Nitecore 18350s in it with a Nitecore charger. Without rechargeable batteries, I probably would have thought twice as the battery life at the most common setting (high/300 lumens) is only 90 minutes and less with occasional turbo (900 lumen) use. But I've not invested in rechargeables and now just recharge from time to time so I always have a fairly strong battery (no need to wait until it is dead to avoid landfill or $ waste).
