Love the support and extra cushion
If you suffer from heel pain from plantar fasciitis like I do, buy these! I had custom insoles made but I was told they’d last five years and it’s been just about that time and as luck would have it, I’ve had tremendous heel pain creep up this summer, walking everywhere on vacation. I’ve been on the lookout for sneakers with more cushion as well as new insoles and purchased a different brand that’s nice and does a good job with support and I’ve noticed they’re never really good about added cushion. A bit tough even but these insoles!! They’re so cushiony and provide arch support and best of all, my achy heel loves them! So if you’d like a little more cushion than most, I definitely recommend these.

Great buy!
I am really happy with these inserts! I bought a pair of white sneakers—they’re really trendy with a huge heel. The smalledt they came in is a size 6 and I am a size 5/5.5. These inserts helped make the shoes more snug. The bonus is a little bit of arch support and comfort support, as you know fashion chunky shoes can be really uncomfortable. They’re really all for the look. I am so glad I got these inserts to make the shoes wearable.I tried the inserts in my regular day-to-day sneakers (cheap Amazon brand for $20, they look like Nikes HAHA) and these inserts do not work. It made my heels stick up too high for the sneakers to stay on properly. Bummer cuz I totally would have bought another pair! I think these inserts work best for shoes with high walls for the heels (which my white platform sneakers do have) and the heel has to be sturdy fabric/material. Not stretchy or bendy, like slip on ones

Still the Best - Excellent for Running
Update 6-3-14: To date, I have tried Spenco Cross Trainers, Total Support, RX Moldable and the Walker/Runner insoles. I ran in Cross Trainers for over thirty years and then tried the others looking for more arch support (I have very high arches) and to help treat Plantar Faciitis that I contracted almost two years ago. The total Support were OK but provided too little cushioning under the heel for running. The RX insoles were terrible, were molded incorrectly from the factory with the arch starting under my heel and were only slightly moldable. The Walker/Runners were the same design as the Total Support but had no structure at all and were just soft rubber. I have returned to the Cross Trainers as I believe they are the best Spenco insoles for cushioning under the heel and mid-foot. If they had a much higher arch and a little more structure they would be perfect. For me, for now, they are the best and I would recommend them.Original Review 12-7-12: I'm 66, I have high arches and I've been running for exercise for 36 years. I have been using Spenco Cross Trainer (green, yellow and black) insoles for many years and have been happy with them. Some time ago I developed some heel pain and I recently decided to try the Spenco Total Support insoles. They have a higher arch, which is good for me but, it appears the arch is higher because the heel cushioning is lower...thinner. The impressive multicolored heel pads and underside cushioning areas in the Total Support photos appear, in person, to all be the same material, but colored differently. My heel pain did not diminish while using the Total Support insoles and I have returned to the Cross Trainers for the additional heel cushioning. The Cross Trainers have good arch support and it is probably adequate for most runners. I suspect the Total Support insoles might be good for walking where heel cushioning is not so critical. If you want good heel cushioning, especially for running, I suggest you use the Spenco Cross Trainer insoles.

I purchased this hoping it might help with heal pain
I purchased this hoping it might help with heal pain. Heel pain is most often caused by plantar fasciitis. Plantar fasciitis is identified by the fact that you have the most pain with the first few steps after getting out of bed in the morning, or after a long period of not using your feet. The pain is somewhat less after a few minutes of walking. In my experience, this product does help, although it doesn't totally relieve all heal pain. I think the way it helps is to provide just the right density foam cushion under your heal. Any softer foam totally collapses and doesn't help much. Any denser foam is too hard and doesn't help much. It seems to also help by providing some arch support, although I think it could do even better in that. It also seems to help by lifting the back of your foot and so placing more weight on the front of your foot while you walk. Again, in my experience, it helps, but doesn't totally relieve all heal pain.Be aware that it lifts your heal 1/2 inch, so if the back of your shoe can't accommodate that, your heal will be slipping out as you walk. This could prevent you from walking fast. But walking slow with less pain, in my opinion, is a good trade-off.You might also be interested; I rolled up a sock and duct taped it to the bottom of my slipper to cause my arch to have to support more weight. I am not a doctor, so I don't know if it's good to put more weight on your arch. But it provided some immediate and cost free relief.
