Avoid - Run fast.
Really uncomfortable flip flops. The rubber strap that goes between the toes cracked after about 6-7 days of fairly light use. Pretty much just junk.

Excellent cushioning and stability for ankles and knees
I've had a few pairs of the standard Haviana's over the years and liked them, though longer walks made my feet and knees really sore (meaning walking for more than 30 minutes). I ordered a pair of these Power Flip Flops from Amazon last summer and I haven't looked back. If you are looking for sturdy, well constructed and well designed flip flops, these are the ones. The sole is well designed offering cushioning on pressure points where you need it, but allowing for a natural, articulated, motion when walking. The foot bed is non-slip and "non-stink" (otherwise a quick trip in the washing machine every so often and you are back in business). These Power Flip Flops are obviously thicker than the originals and remind me of a Teva or other type of sport sandal, but they stay true to the Haviana design, except for a thicker toe-thong and a slightly wider piece of rubber that runs in a yoke over your foot. The sandal is slightly upturned in the front helping to reduce small rocks, sand/dirt. Easy to get on and off, but stays put when moving about. Good stuff!

Expensive 'WATER' Flip Flops that fits BIG and comes with a big design flaw!
I needed to replace some old sponge foam Teva thongs and after shopping around I realized the issue with the sponge foam soles is they are not water proof. They soak in water easily and remain damp on your feet after leaving the pool area. These Havaianas' Power flip flop are a hard neoprene foam that do not soak in any water and stay dry all the time.I love the groves under your feet as they add grip and act as flow channels to push out any water trapped between your feet and the surface of the flip flop. The comfort level is awesome BUT these fit big and slightly wide for the size. I normally wear size 10 in all other flip flops and 10.5 in shoes but I had to size down to a Men's Size 9 in these Power to get a decent fit (to get an idea of how big these fit see the pictures in my Product Gallery)One gripe I have with them and one major weakness of these is the toe thong anchor piece (take a look at the product pictures showing the underside of these flip flops). It is not imbedded inside the base but pokes thru and is a floating nub that hangs out on the underside. This means if you get the nub stuck on something sharp whiles walking that tears it off then the toe thongs separate from the base and these flip flops are dead. For $36 retail I expected a much BETTER design. Even many $20 flip flops today now have imbedded thong anchors that do not poke thru to the bottom of the soles.Still for the price paid (please buy them on sale at $20 to $30) you can't find a better 'water' flip flops that stay dry and repel water.
