Fox 40 2300008 Sonic Blast Safety Whistle (Red/Yellow)

I've used Fox40 whistles for over 20 years now & this most recent purchase still reflects that known quality that I trust.From a background of lifeguarding & outdoor education, to currently working in schools, I happily recommend these whistles to colleagues (who always comment on how loud the whistle blast is)!

I got this for safety as an emergency tool. I got several of them and I did a test with all of them. For what I want, it has to be easy to blow (a kid or an injured adult can do it) and really loud.I compared the ones that claim to be the loudest on hearth and there were two of them that were the best. The STORM Safety whistle and the FOX40 Sonik Blast... The STORM it's a bit big but definitely the winner. The storm has a distinctive sound because of the "pea" and sounds laud enough even if a kid blow into it. The others Whistles don't come even close to this two.I know the Storm has a smaller version called the WINDSTORM but I haven't try it... they say its almost as loud as the STORM but because I want the loudest and easiest... I just went with the big one. BTW I got two of the "ACME TORNADO 2000" because I though this was gonna be the winner ... and although I ordered one of them in Black (paid extra and I waited extra for it), it still it came in ORANGE anyway... :) that was great. I haven't returned any of them because I used both in my experiment...I thought one of them was broken because of how horrible it was... :) for safety get a STORM for everything else get the FOX40 Sonik Blast. Super-loud whistle with a unique design in a variety of bright color combinations. The lanyards are nice and long and are color-coordinated with the whistles. I got three: the  Fox 40 Sonik Blast CMG Whistle, Red/Yellow , the  Fox 40 Sonik Blast CMG with Lanyard - Multi Color, Orange/black  and the  Fox 40 Sonik Blast CMG with Lanyard - Multi Color, Neon/purple  - two for gifts and one for myself. The recipients and I were all wowed by the vibrant colors and amused that they are described as pealess, but quickly learned to respect the power of the pealess whistle as these are deafeningly loud and shrill. Air blown into the whistle is split into separate left and right passageways that channel the air to two separate whistle-producing beveled edges, one top and one bottom, so it is effectively two whistles in one. One sharp toot on this thing will send you and your neighbors running for your earplugs.
