Love this stuff! Works on puppies we've fostered and our younger dog who lovesss to bite and chew anything she can.Disclaimer: it is potent... you dont need to spray more than once or twice! And try to avoid it getting on your hands by gently spraying or by using gloves. The taste is horrid and will last a bit on fingers even after washing. But... it does the job with the dogs!!

I bought this stuff to keep our puppy from chewing on furniture around the house. It was meant to replace another product we had purchased at PetSmart that worked fairly well (but whose name I cannot recall). I swear this stuff has the exact opposite effect as intended.I came home from work one day to find a new chewed spot in the cats condo. Oh well, at least it wasn't our nice couch, right? So I sprayed some on as a deterrent for future chewings. Came home the next day to find the spot had grown larger. I sprayed more on and even sprayed parts that hadn't been chewed yet. Next day, once again more chewed spots and even on the places I sprayed that hadn't been chewed before. Maybe it's the condo itself, I foolishly think.Later, I catch our dog beginning to gnaw on the bottom-most corner of the railing at the top of our stairs. So I spray some more on thinking surely it must help here. Oh no! I wake up at 5am to the sound of chewing and find our dog going wild on our stairs and our wall. WTF, Mate? Really not wanting this to continue and now suspecting this product does not work as advertised, I decided instead to try some Tabasco Sauce. Now that stuff works! Sure, it stung my hand thanks to a hangnail and sure, my house now a smell reminiscent of a Mexican restaurant but, damn, if that sauce didn't work 100% better than Bitter Yuck. So the dog had moved on to chewing other parts of the wall now, but at least it's not because she likes the taste of Bitter Yuck.

This was not effective for my dog. I can confirm it's bitter taste because it did get on my hands and was hard to clean off. Although the product did not work for me, I'm sure it works for others so it's hit or miss. The company was great to work with so I updated my rating from one to three stars. I'd order from the company again.

Difficult to not get in your mouth as you spray. Also got on my hands just from taking it out of the box but works well

So this stuff is magic. It works VERY well and taste like crap. I was applying this to some hanging LEDs that make drawings on my walls. My cats love to chew on cables and the LEDs seem to be their new target. So I applied this with bare hands and ran my wet fingers down the cord to ensure it was covered. Cat took one little bite and never returned. He learned right away. Other cat gave it a try and same case. gone, no more chewing on those cables. So being the genius I am, I washed my hands with warm water and soap and put a finger in my mouth. To my surprise I got a taste of the stuff and its horrible. I have since washed my hands several times, taken 2 showers, and I still have it on my fingers if I forget and bite a nail or eat something and a finger gets in my mouth. Yes, bite your nails. Thats the money savings part of my review. This stuff is an EXACT duplicate taste of the stuff you buy and put on your nails to break the nail biting habbit. I had bought some last year and it was pretty helpful. Dried clean and left nothing like the old school nail biter med that was essentially nail polish with yuck added. So this is the exact same stuff only you get about 15 times more buying in this container than buying the mini pen container that they sell for human nail use. So if you want to stop biting nails, here you go.All that being said. Don't be me. I bet it even says it in the directions somewhere, but if you don't read like me, this is for you. Use plastic gloves. You have them left over from the pandemic in a drawer somewhere. Go get them out and use them when applying this stuff. It will save you a long time of nasty tasting fingers. I rated this product top shelf across the board. The price is right, it is very effective, and is exactly as advertised.

Didn’t deter the kitten at all. The bottle constantly leaked
