It is indeed technically an air conditioner although *how* it does it leaves a lot to be desired. First, it’s by far, and without exception, the loudest air conditioner ever owned. It’s advertised as offering *quiet operation*. The compressor itself is pretty quiet. However, the fan is nearly deafening. Second, the Money Saver function only works in AC mode and not in the fully Auto mode that switches on its own between AC and heat. Third, the Money Saver button on the unit itself is labeled Eco in the app (not the end of the world but not intuitive for the technologically challenged). Fourth, the fan never turns off in the fully Auto mode *and* it blows at the highest and loudest speed. The recommendation is to buy an equivalent GE model which is much quieter overall and has better functionality.
