How do you rate a water filter ? Can I actually see what this filter is removing from my water ? Not really until I change it. Only then can I see if it is dirty or not. I haven’t changed this filter yet……I only installed it a few months ago. Hopefully it is keeping some of the iron that escapes my water softener out of my pipes and house. Time will tell if this filter outperforms any of the others that I have tried. My water does appear to be clean and free of discoloration and that’s good. Well water is great if it is clean and odor free. So far mine is.

I’ve bought these sediment filters several times now and they consistently do a great job. We’re on well water, and these filters really help flush out all the sand, rust, and gunk. The only downside is that with well water, you’ll probably need to change them weekly because they clog up fast—but that just shows they’re doing their job. Super easy to replace and definitely worth it to keep the water system cleaner and running better.

Great sediment filter! Got more than six months out of a cartridge and it was still going strong, but swapped them out anyway. Very happy!
