Not a Nikon hood, but plenty good enough
Fit: This hood fits perfectly. Unlike the JJC plastic hoods, which always needed to be "fixed" to fit my lenses.Finish: It does not look as nicely finished as a Nikon hood, but it is a LOT cheaper, so I'll take the savings.Use: The hood is the first thing that will hit an object, so I view the hood as disposable, like the bumper on your car. The reasonable price makes is less of an issue if/when I damage/break the hood and have to replace it.In a school environment, the students seem to lose lens hoods regularly, so cheaper is better. As long as it works, and this one works.
