Learning curve
I agree with others that there is a learning curve but past that it is an amazing tool. Works very well, much faster.

Great time saver
Takes awhile to figure out, but once you get going this tool will pay itself back on those bid jobs in one day. Especially if you are hanging sheetrock on a ceiling!

Updated - got it to work!
I’ve updated my review from one to four stars. I refused to believe that Makita would sell junk, so I carefully took the unit apart. There is cam that controls the (ratcheted) feed of screws. I had come unseated. I reseated it, reassembled, and got the unit to work. You do need to pay attention to the depth setting - when you’re driving a screw at eye level, standing on the floor, you need to back off the depth, otherwise you’ll drive it too deep. If you’re in an awkward position on a ladder, where you can’t get full pressure behind the gun, adjust it deeper. Just rocked my garage, drove 1000 screws, real time saver having the gun and this feeder.Original review:At this point, very disappointed. I can’t get this to auto feed. As far as I can tell it is a flawed design. There’s no obvious way for the two small plastic tabs to properly grab the notches on the screw strips. It’s possible that I’m doing something wrong, but waste of money is my current opinion.

Worth it.
Works great! Took a few tries to get the hang of it. Works like a revolver pistol, in the way where it ‘shoots’ the next in line. Not the one direct in line with the barrel. I fed the strip too far in the first few times which causes the strip/screw to jam things up. But once I learned that it worked great every time. Just have to keep the driver at 90 degrees and push with confidence.

Jams frequently
Jambs about every 5 or 6th screw. Mechanism fails to slide properly and screw shaft gets stuck.Milwaukee’s collated adapter has had zero failure to feed and no jambs.

Not very intuitive to set up.
Definitely need to read/look through instructions, otherwise it jambs consistently. When feeding the band of screws, you need to stop short of where you think it needs to be, otherwise it jambs. Takes a proprietary set of tips that I can’t find replacements for anywhere. Bought it for $70, which is a decent price, now 1 week later, it’s $97.WORKS WELL, once set up. Depth adjustment works better than on the regular cone.

Pays for itself with the first day
Makes fastening screws so much quicker and easier. Once it’s setup correctly this thing is definitely worth the money. This pays for itself within the first day. I’ve installed 1000’s of screws and no issues yet. It’s a little tricky using in corners but other than it’s great.

Timesaver
Work like a charm. Greatly reduces install time. Also frees up a hand to make install that much easier.
