Really good for the price
Worked great for me, I am still amazed how cheap it is. There were no instructions, so you need to be pretty handy, but there are lots of good videos online to show you how to do it. I needed this because the fuel lines on my saw completely disintegrated and I didn't know where they originally went.

Not easy to install but does the job
The 235 X-Torq is a PITA to work on cuz you have to disassemble a good bit of the saw to remove and replace the carburetor. I'm not sure i needed a new carb as the fuel lines had broken in a couple spots unbeknownst until full teardown. Either way, it got replace and i wanted the carb on hand anyway. I did have to fidget with the H/L Screws a bit to get it running acceptably.

Excellent kit for the money!
I ordered this for my(new to me)used Husqvarna 240 chainsaw. I really wasn't expecting much considering this kit is not much more than just the carb rebuild kit.1st thing to do is clean your chainsaw up. Use some brake clean and compressed air to get all the wood chips and bar oil off it. I really think starting work on a clean saw is the key to success. After cleaning the saw, watch some videos on carburetor removal. Then watch them all again. I am mechanically inclined and I watched the same video 5 times before I tore into this saw. I felt confident when I started this project and it took me about 2 hours start to finish.Use the supplied fuel lines, even if the old ones look good. If you are using ethanol fuel, the fuel lines and primer bulb will be jacked up just as the carb. Replace them all.For initial settings, I turned my high and low speed screws all the way in(lightly) and then turned them out 1 turn. I didn't bother to mess with the idle screw. The saw started on the 1st pull and idled great. It had a slight bog when going full throttle, so I went another 1/8th turn on the low speed and 1/2 turn on the high speed. The saw really sings now!The only downside to this kit is that the air filters are a little bit big, but they will fit. You will have to trim either the top or bottom. Everything else in the box is great. You couldn't ask for a more complete kit.On a side note, stop using ethanol fuel in your power equipment. Find someplace that offers real gasoline at the pump or buy the premix that comes in the cans.

Good for the money
The fitment was perfect. It did take a lot of adjustments to get it to start and stay started.

Took some tuning with the provided tool but works great.
Watch a few youtube videos on tuning the carb and you will have no issues. Best advise I saw was after it is installed, dial the low and high jet clock wise all the way and come back 1.5 rotations. That will get you really close.

Quite pleased. Be sure to have a tach & know how to tune before use or you might destroy your saw.
I replaced the carburettor on my Husqvarna 240 with the one provided in this kit. I did not use the fuel lines from this kit but rather sourced the lines elsewhere since these aren't particularly close to OEM spec. Also be certain to have a tachometer and the provided adjustment tool on hand.Without any adjustment, it was running on the lean side, with an idle of around 4000 RPM and 12000 RPM at wide open throttle. The range for Husqvarna 240 is 3000-9000 RPM, so definitely be careful and tune for the correct mixture or you could end up running rich, lean or more than 30% over the max RPM, all of which could destroy the saw in short order or present other dangers. This isn't a negative mark for the product in my opinion, just a disclaimer to be sure you know what you are doing and how to adjust for the correct mixture and engine speed. Don't expect it to be tuned and safe to use right out of the box. Even if it was tuned perfectly, unless you know for certain there is no air leaks or fuel delivery issues or clogged vent in your saw (should make sure you fix those things first) mixture and RPM could still be way off.I tested the fuel filter and spark plug and they seem to work just fine. The air filters need to be trimmed in order to fit correctly. I have not tried the primer bubble yet, but it looks like it would work just fine.I will update the review if anything changes, but so far I am quite pleased with the kit and everything is still running well after a few hours of use.
