BUY THESE. Disregard the bad reviews unless your a LAND WHALE??
I'm 280 lbs. 6'3 big guy and I took a chance on this despite the bad reviews. I can tell you that these are cheap but not any cheaper than the better ones or the cheaper ones. Direct fit for my chair and I have no play at all in either the pins or in the frame of the wheel. I’m only about 30 days into it but I will update if anything goes wrong or in 6 months and in 1 year.one gripe I have (its fine but for me its ok) they are too smooth, it’s really easy to roll around and I’m on a hard thin carpet that my other chairs have a no issues rolling on but it’s a fair amount of resistance on the regular wheels. These things are very easy to roll around and I find it a bit of a nuisance that I can’t stay in place with the same ease of the regular wheels but that’s the point right? It’s not really a con; I’m just not used to it. So I would say if you’re in an oiled house with floors that are not level, you’re going to not stay in place.Still a really great upgrade and I don’t see any signs of wear. I use my chair for about 3 hours every day, maybe more, just casual gaming and office work when I come home from my 9.2.5 job. It does raise the chair up a bit but if chair is adjustable to it’s not an issue. I think all the bad revise of these things failing is from people who are morbidly obese. Might not hold up to a 400lb dude but not much will? Most gamers now days are huge landwhales and that’s probably where the reviews are bad.

Absence of All Attributes Claimed - See Attached Pics & Save Your Money
Having purchased a few dozen different 3" office chair caster sets, I must say that this one was the most disappointing. Within a month, the ball bearings from the top swivel mount started to fall out and within a week or so, the casters were toast. To add insult to injury, my attempts to contact the Seller about the "lifetime" warranty went unanswered. I event went as far as contact Amazon direct to find out how I could possibly contact the seller and the Amazon rep that I spoke with was just as much at a loss as I was.Upon closer examination of the casters, it was obvious that the quality of the product that I received was no even close to what the listing & seller had promoted. However, as my first review of these substandard casters was kicked back by the Amazon censors (and as a business attorney who negotiates, drafts and litigates software license & use agreements, as well as internet terms of service agreements, I was perplexed by Amazon's rejection of my first review ----- until I noticed that Amazon had endorsed this product and the seller with the "Amazon" seal of approval). Accordingly, I will refrain from providing any further comments regarding these caster wheels, other than to say the attached pictures speak for themselves (by the way, the occupant of the chair in question which these casters were installed on, was our law firm's front receptionist, whose body weight was at least 1/4th of the advertised weight rating by the Seller).Lawliss,Roswell, GA USAP.S. As an "Amazon" power-buyer, I am disappointed by Amazon's inability to assist me last year with my attempts to contact the Seller for warranty service and even more disappointed that my initial review was "deemed" inappropriate pursuant to Amazon's terms and conditions related to same. Very disappointing!

Total Crap
You see "roller blade wheels for my chair" and think, hey, that would be a cool 'upgrade'. But it's not. These things fail hard because they are so tall and lacking in lateral support that they give any chair a very wobbly and unstable feeling. These ARE NOT better than even the cheapo plastic double rollers that come with most office chairs. I don't know who is giving these things positive ratings, but if you want sitting in your chair to feel like your on a small boat in the middle of choppy seas, these will do it.If you have hard floors, keep the double-roller style casters. If you have carpet - get chair mat. DO NOT buy these!

Have been a pain to deal with for the 13 months I had them
As you can see in the pictures, these casters have lost their last legs: FUNCTIONING BEARINGS. The bearings fell out just today, after 13 months of me owning them. To be fair, they were quite neat for the first month I was honeymooning with these bearings. But our relationship turned sour when I realized their true colors. They first started wobbling slightly, then they wobbled to the point that I couldn't ignore it. However, I shrugged my shoulders and lied to myself "oh these must be better than that cheap crap that is included with office chairs. I STILL have an upgrade". Neigh, I was a fool to think that one red flag won't reveal the whole bunch of rotten apples hidden underneath. For months I toiled with an ever increasing wobble. More and more did I have to convince myself that these casters should not be replaced, as nothing else would really work as well as these bad boys did. But on that fateful night, our relationship steadied down a never ending downward spiral that would inevitably lead to a disastrous end. About half a year in, the wobble critically affected the wheels' ability to TURN. Its core function of TURNING was now compromised. I found myself needed to stand up and reorient the wheels in the desired direction to get any usable movement from them. At first it was once every few days, then once a day, then a couple, then a couple and hour, until I found myself standing up to reorient the wheels every few minutes. A simple breeze will throw the wheels out of alignment. Nothing, NOTHING I tell you drove a spear into my heart as when I realized my dear, oh, dear casters had their marbles loose. On the fateful morning of the 18th of November, Century 21, year 20, I found my young love, my high school sweetheart.... dead, guts spewed all over, carnage that hasn't been experienced since man first ventured on its first legs. I-I, am devastated. This slow, painful death of my beloved casters could have been avoided. I toiled with them, cried, laughed, loved with them, but no, they are now dead, hopefully in caster heaven looking down on me as my caster guardian angel, not for us to meet until I too, meet my end....CURSE THEIR MAKER, I TELL YOU, TO ALL ETERNITY.
