Great no-frills pedals for beginner road bike
I got these pedals to use on my Cannondale Synapse 1, my first road bike. I ride casually in mixed environments (neighborhoods, mixed-use paths, etc.) and didn't want to commit to clipless pedals. I think these are a fantastic option. They're light-weight, but sturdy. I have not had any issues with lack of grip when riding with my standard sneakers.I chose these instead of the ones with steel studs because I didn't want to ruin the bottoms of my shoes.I've put ~400 miles on these pedals and they are still in perfect condition. I would definitely buy another set of these should I get another bike.

Hands DOWN the best pedals for any MTB
I somehow was rocking the factory plastic Walmart bike looking pedals on my Stumpjumper. The time came where I snapped one of my pedals in half and was forced to upgrade. I found these and asked my dad what he thought about them. He told me he had some pink ones on his Bronson and will never get any other pedals. I ordered them and I have 0 regrets. They DIG into whatever shoe you use, almost giving you the feeling of being clipped in from how grippy these things are. They have replaceable spikes which is great after they have been worn down. Not only do they look good, they perform insanely well. If you're due for a pedal upgrade, get these, you will not be disappointed.

Perfect starter pedal
Perfect size for the general mtb rider. Great color. Perfect starter mtb pedal for someone afraid of metal pins.

My favorite casual pedal. Not for black diamond trails.
Great casual, recreational, mailbox, neighborhood, bike packing, gravel riding shoes tht will get you killed on very technical terrain. Easily swapped out for clipless, oe properly pinned pedals. Decent price, great quality. Purchase id you want a quality casual pedal.

Super grippy!
The media could not be loaded. Like an over bearing mother, these pedals are here to stay! They work very well with my 5Ten riding flats. I'm not used to the lack of ability to move my feet while riding! While I do appreciate the ease by which I could adjust my feet while in town riding, that was afforded to me by my old pedals I absolutely love the security that the Chester Race Faces provide while ofroading. In the box, I got one right and one left pedal. The are discretely marked with "L" and "R" respectively, indicating which side they are to be mounted on.I wanted to order from my LBS rather than Amazon, however their supplier, DC (Discontinued) this model in the color I wanted.Installs with metric tools. The studs are secure. And like possum, red is awesome!

Stable Platform
I bought a new urban bike and was unhappy with the original cage pedals. Too small a footprint. Felt like my feet were almost ready to slip off unless positioned perfectly on the pedals. Had to keep micro adjusting my foot position which was a nuisance. Just upgraded to the Raceface Ride and wow what a difference. A much more stable foot platform for my size 11s. I like to wear thin Merrell Trail Gloves for good ground feel and the traction pins grip perfectly. There's also a slight 3mm dish from the tops of the traction pins to the center axel so it cups the ball of your foot nicely for extra comfort and secure feel. Great build quality at a bargain price. Sooo nice!

Take some getting used to
I started riding mountain bikes in the early '90s; that meant my first mountain bike had metal "beartrap" pedals, but by the mid-'90s, I was on a new mountain bike with SPD clipless pedals. By the early '20s my mountain bike was parked in the corner of the garage while I focused on road riding, again with clipless pedals. Fast forward to now and I decided to dust off my mid-'90s mountain bike and thought it would be a good idea to swap out the clipless pedals for flat pedals since this seems to be the new norm for most of the mountain bikes I see in my area. I went with these because Raceface is a brand I know and trust and I also like the idea of a nylon rather than metal pedal, not so much for weight but for them being potentially easier on my chins. The pedals look great and are well-made. They went on my bike very easily, so I took them out for a maiden ride. They take some getting used to. The platform is much larger than an SPD pedal, or even the old beartraps from days long gone. They offer a really solid platform for pedaling that is slip-resistant and seemingly flex-free. They work as well as any flat pedal should. What takes some getting used to is that you really can't pull up with power in the same way you can with an SPD pedal, so I have been trying to get used to not having that extra power. They are convenient since I don't have to wear my SPD clipless shoes. I think they do a very good job if you are looking for a flat pedal. I can see the benefit for technical trail riding, where you want to be able to put a foot down easily but the jury is still out as to whether I will keep them on all the time or swap them for the old SPDs again. Bottom line; if you are looking for flat pedals at a reasonable price then these should be at the top of your list.
