Love the range on this
I have bought something similar about 2 years ago for my husband. Well, it was dropped and cracked. So I needed something new for him. Plus the other one didn't have night vision. We had an issue in the fall with raccoons attacking our chickens. This has been great. The kids have enjoyed watching wildlife that is out the woods with this. They have enjoyed taking the pictures with the phone mount. I have been able to catch the chickens as well some nights. This will be great during the summer with the kids. They enjoy sitting up in the tree house and looking for things all the time. Now they won't question if it's a dirt pile or an animal far out. They can use this and find out for themselves.

Don't Buy if you're expecting 50x magnification &night vision
This thing is NOT 50X magnification as described. It is NOT for night vision as described! It has no battery, as the packaging suggests, which would be needed for night vision. The scope only extended 1/4 inch, which has 0 effect on the magnification, which was a 12x at best, as compared to my 12x20 binoculars. And, the cell phone attachment is for single lens cameras-the opposite of an answer in the question section. Very disappointing 😕

Some useful features but not 50X60
There are a ton of BAK4 monoculars on the market. This one has some useful features - a nice tripod which doubles as a handgrip, a smartphone adapter which works even if your phone has multiple lenses and a battery operated remote shutter for the phone. What it doesn't have is 50 power magnification. Monocular and binocular standards are expressed in Power X Size of opening. So a 50X60 should mean 50 times magnification and the lens opening of 60. (Wider is better). This model has magnification of about 12, not 50, which makes is about as powerful as typical binoculars. So the description is not accurate.

I returned it immediately
I purchased this item for an upcoming trip and was not happy with what I received. It stunk of plastic and had the rubber/plastic coating around the tripod thread loose and coming off. It was cheaply made and I had no choice but to return it immediately. In all honesty, I couldn’t get past the monocular and didn’t even try anything else that was in the box...I have no idea if they were good or not.

Nice monocular
The product seems well made and the viewing is clear, but still trying to figure out how to work it with the smartphone. It would be helpful to have written instructions along with the picture on how to connect the phone

Could not get it to focus. Images not clear.
The item is very well made. It's was sturdy and has a bit of weight to it. The provided clamp holder is also sturdy being made of plastic and it held the lens onto the camera securely.Initially, I had no problem viewing the picture thru the camera. There is a circle of view that is available and if you zoom in with the phone or the lens itself, the picture becomes blurry. I tried to adjust and that's when it just did not focus no matter how I adjusted the lens.Overall it's to problematic to use daily. The few images I was able to capture is not worth the hassle. I will be returning this item.Side note : I was using lens on a Samsung S10+. I had no issues with the lens getting the correct camera view. I just couldn't figure out how to adjust the view. The first picture was my first attempt. I was sitting about 9ft away and zoomed in on items in pictures. The second picture was when I was trying to adjust the image to be clearer and somehow lost the view. I was never able to get it to focus again.

Really cool smartphone scope! Works great!
I was really surprised at the high quality for the price. It is made like scopes that cost much more. Very Sturdy! I have played around looking outside, but I will definitely be using it often for some bird watching, and nature recording. It is also great as a safety device to get a pic of a LIC plate number from far away when you suspect criminal activity. A+ LOVE IT! :)

This is not 60x. My 10x shows the same
This is not 60X at all. Barely can see the bird on top of the 30ft tree. This will go back!
