Warrior/General Tactical Folding Knife with D2 Steel Blade G10 Handle Flipper Opening (tanto point+gray titanium)

I thought I'd venture into the Large flipper arena with this purchase. I have above average hands and it's still a bit large for me. The action is smooth but a little held back. Perhaps that's a good thing so this huge slab of D2 doesn't swing back into your fingers. Harnds makes a really nice knife overall for a cheap price. The blade is gorgeous to me. You will find yourself rubbing it and all the smoothed over edges. The G10 scales are comfortable with skeletonized steel liners. I thought it was supposed to have Teflon type washers but they look brass-ish to me. They include a really nice molded nylon case/sheath with a drain hole, closer flap with a definitive snap closure and belt strap which can be opened via Velcro, which is a thoughtful addition. Even the little box that it comes in is nicer than much more expensive knives. All for less than $30? Can't complain! I'd like to continue to see more knives from Harnds.

This is very well built fit and finish is spot on. Super Sharp out of Box (already cut me) it was a little stiff to operate out of the box but immediately loosened up and working properly. This is a very Large but Lightweight Pocket knife. If you have big Paws this will make a great fit. Would also make an awesome Gift and comes with a Pretty nice Sheath. Also the Pocket clip is nice and big with 3 screw attachment a big bonus in my opinion. Take this information from a Collector of over 300 pocket knives. Most definitely a keeper!UPDATE: I was Wrong after one day of carrying this knife I’ve learned that the Pivot Screw will not stay tight it literally fell apart in my pocket this is a major foul and it’s being returned immediately!

Great looking folder and freaking huge, lol. Quality looks impeccable. The blade grinds are evenly done and the blade is very sharp out of the box. Everything is tight, smooth and very solid. I couldn't find a construction flaw.My only concern is the design of the blade lock. Given the scale of the knife the liner lock looks a bit skinny and it only engages the edge of the back side of the blade that it's supposed to lock against. The part of the blade that engages the liner lock is ground at an angle looking like the lock could slide off under pressure (you definitely do not want oil on that part of the blade).When fully extended the blade feels very solid but design of the liner lock does not inspire confidence in me so only four stars. However, since you are never, ever supposed to stab with a folder it's not a deal breaker.

The Harnds General Tanto all black part serrated is a unusual find. The General has excellent fit and finish the all black gives it a stealth fighter appearance, lock up is tight and strong with no blade play or lock rock and the knife is centered perfect when closed. The action on phosphor bronze bushings is smooth. Add just a drop of oil and flick the knife open and close for awhile and it drops shut like a knife on bearings!!! The General's g10 is contoured and feels very comfortable in hand the tip up right side only clip does not create any hot spots in the hand and adds to the girth of the grip making it feel like a 4 inch fixed blade in hand. The knife is sharp and the edge is symmetrical on both sides the serrations are a chisel grind and gives this tactical stealth black defender more bite to cut deep and slice through tough materials when needed something most people don't understand about a self defense tactical knife. This type of knife is meant to remain sharp and ready but if you need to sharpen it round sharpening rods get the job done with ease. This knife has a d2 blade that is protected by a tuff coating that has stood through a lot of abuse and remain in tact without much wear ( see YouTube reviews for reference) The Harnds Warrior or General cannot be beat at $28.99 not even knives 3 times it's price can beat this knife. I know what I'm talking about too I collect tactical fighting knives and I'm considered a expert in knowing when a folding knife is a certified fighting defender and this is it!!!!

I gotta say... Harnds impresses again! I got a similar EDC knife from Harnds about a year and a half ago, and I've loved its solidness, ease of opening, and sharpness. So, I just bought this one for my soon to be son-in-law for Christmas. Of course, I had to open it up and check it out, to make sure it met my quality standards (lol). More than impressed! In fact, I'm thinking of getting one of these Warrior/Generals for myself! As much as I love mine, this one is slightly larger (see last pic for comparison - mine is on the bottom, SIL's on top), and you can tell in the weight difference: this one is 7.2 ounces, compared to 4.7 for mine. And, like mine, it easily flips open with a slight move of the finger, and slices like a razor right out of the box. HIGHLY recommend this Harnds product!
