Very impressed with this case.
I bought the F Dorla Kindle paperwhite cover with a little apprehension. It LOOKS good on the website, but how can it be nice when it's $10 and the equivalent Amazon product is $40? Well I was very pleasantly surprised. I have been using it for several weeks now. The quality is very good and I can see no negatives. Kindle Paperwhite fits perfectly in the case, the magnetic closure feature works just fine (puts the kindle in sleep mode and wakes up when I open it). The leather is soft and nice quality. The back has some plastic on it, but not sure if the Amazon case does as well. I am very, very happy with this purchase and I feel like I got a great deal. I purchased black for my husband's kindle and red for mine. Both colors are as pictured on the site.

Looks More Like A Padfolio Than An E-Reader Cover
Out of the plastic bag and my first impression was that it felt more like plastic than I was expecting. The new 2015 Kindle Paperwhite slid right in and that was when I noticed that the front cover slid back and forth over the face of the Paperwhite like a worn bookbinding. It still closed correctly, but I had to wiggle it a bit to get the right hand side to line up.The magnetic clip keeps it closed and protected and the screen springs to life when I open it. I do recall reading a previous reviewer saying that he had a hard time opening it without wedging a fingernail or another object in. I do not think that it takes that much effort just a slight poke of your thumbnail and you will be fine.It easily stores in my bag without the extra bulk that I had with my prior Kindle Fire and the cover. Very lightweight and with the ability to fold it back on itself allowing one-handed reading there is no problem at all.I did find that the cover is too smooth to prop up the e-reader if you are wanting to read in a hands free landscape mode. Maybe if you are using it on a textured surface where it can grab, you will have better luck. The cover fits snuggly along the top and the bottom corners of the Paperwhite leaving plenty of space to turn the device on and off (which is not necessary since the cover does this for you) and to use the included charging cable. The inside has an almost felt like feel that will not scratch the screen, so for me, the additional expense of a protective sheet was not necessary.Other than the slipping binding feel, I like this cover. The red is a very classy color that tends to lean to more to a cranberry tone than orange. Most importantly, when it is sitting out on my work desk, it looks like a pad folio instead of an e-reader, which is always handy when someone walks by.I have also found that the cover is not easily removed. I guess that is good in that it will not slide out. The secret is pushing on the two corners that line up with the inside fold.Overall, this lightweight attractive cover will be able to stand-up to my daily use.

Excellent Slim, Lightweight Case
LOVE this case. Lightweight, thin, stays securely closed but easy to open, looks like real leather, and well-priced. Holds Paperwhite very securely. When it arrived, I just stared at it for a minute, trying to figure out what the heck holds the Paperwhite in it because it just looked flat. I thought, "Magnets?" Nope, there is a very low profile hard plastic holder-case and the 2015 Paperwhite fits perfectly on it. Push a little harder, and it snaps in with an audible click. It ain't falling out, that's for sure. There's no inside flap to tuck papers, but I learned on my other one that that interferes with the magnetic close of the case which turns the reader off, so no loss there, but a gain. Placed on a slick table, it doesn't slide off also. Red color is pretty much as you see it in photos if your monitor is reasonably color-accurate. A good red though, nothing orangy or cheap looking in the color. Front flap folds back flush so you can hold it with one hand w/finger inserted in between for a good hold. ONLY concern I have is that the strip that holds the two sides of the cover together are unlined and eventually will become a weak point (either through wearing or softening) but for this price? If I get a year (let alone two) out of it, it's paid for itself in "slim-and-lightweight"-ness.

Good case for Paperwhite
Revised to 1.5 stars from 4.5 stars, after using it for a few days.At the beginning, it was good with the close (paperwhite goes to sleep) and open (paperwhite wakes up).Starting yesterday (maybe it started earlier, but I only discovered it yesterday), after a close, the paperwhitestill does not sleep. How do I know? In the living room with complete darkness, the paperwhite still showssome light through the leak from the edge of the case, when the case was close. Then, I repeatedly tested ita few times. Similar result. Afterward, restarting the Kindle helped at first, but then it still has random failure toput the paperwhite to sleep again.Of course, there is a remedy. Just press the sleep button on the paperwhite manually going forward to make sure. Can the problem be with kindle paperwhite? I don't have the technical knowledge to tell.=========================================================================================Original review: I just received this case and I am very impressed. It fits perfectly. Before, I worried that the version of my paperwhite would not fit.I assume I have the 2nd version of paperwhite as I bought it in 2014. I was not sure. Regardless, the case fits perfectly. And I just found out the seller increased the price of this case after I bought it. I am glad to pay that price earlier.BTW, if people know how to get a sample of an item at a discount or for free, please let me know. I always wonder how theygot it. I have to pay for an item every single time. And I did not see an option to get a sample. How and where to get sample? Thank you!
