It leaks around the top. Not every time but most of the time. I can unscrew the lid and retighten it and it will sometimes seal properly.

After buying this from a retail store, I really wanted to like this mug. It looks cool. I typically use it for single serve k-kups, for which the 12 oz capacity is more than adequate. Also, it is one of the few insulated travel mugs I can find that fit under my Bunn My Cafe coffee maker. The anti spill feature works in most situations I encounter. If you do happen to find a way to knock it over with the lid securely closed, it won't spill. And it's BPA Free.It loses a star because it does not keep temperature as well as I inferred from what's advertized. The body of the mug seems very well insulated. I can't tell, just from handling the body of the mug, if the beverage inside is hot or cold. I'm sure most of the temperature loss is from the lid, which feels very hot with hot coffee inside. But for my purposes, it's mostly adequate. It keeps my favorite 9 oz of single serve light roast reasonably hot for about an hour. If you need it to hold temperature for several hours, this may not be ideal for you.It loses another star because beverages seem to taste different. My favorite coffees just don't taste the same from this mug compared to other mugs I use.

It's wonderful mug

...this is better used without the lid. My first impression of this just-under-twelve-ounce travel mug is that the plastic screw-on lid mars the taste of the coffee. If it's used without the lid, the coffee tastes fine. The vent hole is easily blocked as you're attempting to drink. I'm keeping the mug since I mostly use it at home and its insulating properties are very good. If the mug is set on a glass-top table or something similar, if it's knocked or brushed against, it won't tip over.This is a well-insulated steel container, skip the plastic one, this is far better. No condensation if it's used with cold beverages. Double-wall steel is a better insulator than ANY double-wall plastic!

Most horrible mug I've ever seen! Rusted all over inside right after a couple months of use. Some kind of sealer peeling off from the inside and outside.
