Will not regret paying the extra money
This pump was installed on a Lincoln Ranger 8 with an Onan 16 performer engine. This pump eliminated hard & slow starts.

Steel filter threads crack pump inlet.
The steel threaded inserts in the plastic housing are very thin. I used teflon tape on both the brass barb and steel fuel filter threads. However, during operation I noticed the steel fuel filter threads dripped gasoline. I thought I was being careful, but in attempting to tighten the steel fuel filter to stop the gas leak the steel threaded insert in the pump plastic housing cracked. Now the pump is basically junk. The brass barb seems soft enough to be tightened and provide a drip free connection. I would not screw in the steel fuel filter. Get another brass barb to replace the steel filter and use an inline fuel filter.

1982 Subaru brat
This met the fuel delivery specs for a 1982 Subaru Brat fairly closely. Got the old brat running again. Cut the plug off the factory pump and wired it to this pump, so it would plug in all factory like.

Easy install, works well so far
Unit came quickly in the mail and I immediately installed it. I have a classic car that doesn't get driven a ton and is also carbureted. Anyone knows that after they sit a while, they can be hard to start. I used to pour a little gasoline into the float bowl but that was inconvenient. I installed this unit with a momentary switch and now use it to fill the float bowl. Car starts right up and then once its running I let the car's fuel pump in the car take over. You can use this as a replacement but I wanted to leave the car as is and use this strictly to get the car started. Works great so far. Nice feature is that if this 12 V pump ever fails, gas can still flow through it and the pump installed by the block will still work.
