I use these “driveway monitors” on three properties. At my home, I used them outside and inside the gate to alert me to visitors, but I also use them in a mountain location to be alerted to wildlife. And at my office.I’ve tried about every decent product out there over the past five or 10 years. Definitely the solar products seem to work really well and eliminate the transmitters from just randomly stopping working and you having to figure that out and then go change batteries.However, this emacros product has become my absolute favorite. Because of the Wi-Fi integration of the receiver, and solar powered transmitters. Wi-Fi integration is a great touch. Where you can control the receiver, ringtones, etc. from your phone. You can also get alerts to your phone, which is nice for me when I am away from the mountain property. All the other solar products I have used are audible only notifications from the receiver itself. That basically won’t work at all if you’re away from the receiver, or if you would like to turn the receiver tone off to not bother other people in your household.That Wi-Fi integration was a no-brainer to me, because the receiver is typically installed inside a house. But I still have not seen any other manufacturers do that yet.Some other nice things about this product is that they come pre-programmed. Transmitter to receiver. So they work out of the box. Some of the others you have to jump through some fairly poor programming that is not really user-friendly.And lastly, I did have some issues with one of my receivers after I ordered them. I gave the manufacturer a chance and reached out to them first. It took a minute, but they responded and shipped me a new product immediately. I very much appreciate that level of service.At the moment, I think these are the best on the market. And a very fair price.Cheers, Matt

EDIT from a previous review. The issue I had was all user error. I had to go in and pair the sensor to the base station again and it works great. The seller reached out promptly, offering assistance if I needed it. It is pretty sensitive as it will periodically go off during a rain storm.

It was easy to set up and install. Now we know when someone is coming up the driveway. Alarm works great!

Was good for about 1 year with buggy software. Yesterday, the unit said it was offline and I couldn't get it to come back online because of buggy app. Had to remove it and re-add it. Then it told me I needed to update the software. I did and now when it sends me notifications on my phone, there is no sound even though it is all turned up in the app as well as iOS settings. The notifications also look like JSON code instead of English. So now it is worthless. I emailed customer support twice and nothing. They must have all quit their jobs after tariff increases so I now have a paper weight. I would not recommend this product at all.

Works great!! Love this, we have a long driveway and this alerts us to visitors…My App stopped working and I reached out for help and their support team was fabulous.Very helpful, informative and my App is back working!!

The app is a major upgrade for eMacros. It actually works. I owned a previous model, and the app was never updated and became non-functioning quickly. This one works for the options it presents.Where this fails is what happens when it turns itself on or off (note - same effect if using an Alexa-controlled power outlet for the base unit/receiver).On & off programming is very critical for me, since the animals around our rural location will trigger an alarm in the dead of night. I've programmed the device via the app to turn off in the evening, and on in the morning.Here's the problem:When the receiver/base unit turns on, a very loud voice recites that it is acquiring a signal, then it "welcomes" you with a commercial message about your wonderful eMacros device in the same loud voice. If you have a sleeping child, you're on a phone call nearby, or are simply unprepared for someone to suddenly yell at you, it's a real problem.Likewise, when it turns off in the evening, it emits a very LOUD "chirp" sound. Unprepared for a loud, alarm-like chirp? Have a sleeping cat in your lap? Is your protective dog napping nearby? Expect the unexpected.I was hoping that there is a way to silence the startup voice and the sign-off "chirp" of doom with the app. Not that I can find, and I looked long and hard.The previous iteration of this device could be programmed off and on using a simple 3rd-party Alexa-enabled power outlet, and it was silent. No such luck with this device.An app update is in order that would mute the power-on voice message and the power-off chirp. Please.Also - about an hour and a half after the unit turns on in the morning, it sends a false alarm. We can check immediately, and there is nothing there, not a squirrel, not a mouse. I thought maybe it was sunshine hitting it just right, or maybe wind on a bush or falling leaves, but it is in a protected area so wind doesn't affect the surrounding area, and it does it in rain, or fog, or sunshine. Every day.Operationally, it does what it claims, but it never claims to be able to mute those audio on/off alerts. Too bad.
