It is a drink bottle - of the kind that many of us will want to take with us when we are exercising - whether it's in the gym or outdoors. The plastic is rigid, so it is worth making sure that this fits into your backpack drink holder if you use one. I guess I was lucky, because this did fit into one of my holders but it was a very tight squeeze into the other.It has a flip spout so that you suck fluid out, rather than squeezing it as you would with a soft body bottle. This all seems to work fine.The neck - having removed the flip spout cap - is quite wide making it easy to clean out.The lid, though, doesn't have a washer. So... unless you tighten it VERY tight.... it leaks if the bottle gets tilted onto one side. The manufacturers have gone to the trouble of fitting a soft plastic colour-coding ring around the neck, but they haven't bothered to fit a similar ring inside the cap so that it doesn't leak.The cap includes a moulded handle. I suspect that most people will use this to hold the bottle when exercising. Some competitors' bottles include a small carabiner here with which to attach the bottle to a strap or belt. Either way, the handle on this bottle is just a bit too small to slip fingers under it, is too sharp to do so and carry the bottle when moving, and is going to be damaged if someone uses their own clip to attach it. All this required was a tiny bit more thought at the design stage.

Just the ticket for refreshment and rehydration requirements while working out in the gym, in addition is totally air tight during transportation needs and feels secure in the hand. Very pleased over all for this kit at the price.

Shatters easily. Several have broken as soon as dropped. They were bought for a group of boys and only a few are still going

I bought 2 of these bottles for my boys and they both leaked, so I would not recommend this product ..
