OBCO FOAM STUDIO Product Description Take the guess work out of Acoustics Hard surfaces inside the studio are the main causes of sound reflection, corners are the cause of reverb and any windows or mirrors will cause bouncing of sound. The goal of OBCO Acoustics is stopping these issues using state of the art acoustic panels. Modular Absorption Studio Tiles The main placement of the absorption tiles is directly next to the speakers and directly behind the listener or microphone. When positioned properly, these acoustically-engineered studio panels provide the most accurate sound protection per square foot. The position displayed in the image will maximize the absorption of the studio panels, helping eliminate the low frequency sounds created by the speakers Performance Bass Traps Bass traps are not just for bass!! This is a common misconception, they actually absorb a broadband of low to mid frequencies. This helps stop reverb in the corners of the room, which cause the most sound reflection in any room. A great inexpensive way to clear your room of low end bass nodes Bass traps are great for creating a divider between the ceiling and the walls, helping stop the most reverb of any absorption panel IDEAL for smaller rooms Details Each WEDGE comes uncompressed and in prime condition! The Wedges in the photo will be exactly what you get. Works great!
This eliminated the echo for good podcast recording. It did not eliminate the sound coming from my room but it did dramatically muffle the noise whereas people downstairs could only hear a slight muffle when I recorded my podcasts or played music from my room. They used to hear word for word what I said and they often complained my music was too loud. No more complaints!!I used thumbtacks instead of adhesives because I didn’t want to ruin the walls of the rental when I had to remove it. I read that some adhesives took the paint off the wall when removed. The thumbtacks did not seem to effect the the effectiveness of the soundproofing.I also spruced up the dark grey by adding craft felt that matched my decor. I read that putting breathe through cloth over the foam would not affect the sound and they were right. My sound proof was not compromised at all because I tested the sound before and after adding the craft felt. I hot glued the craft felt onto the foam with two small dabs of glue.

Excellent Acoustics
Exactly as advertised; well packaged in huge intact reusable plastic bags. Easy to apply to wall (we applied to cardboard/high density sound blocking sheets) then attached that to the wall so as not to cause damage to rental house) with all-purpose spray adhesive. We finished a month ago and it has all held in place perfectly and does an outstanding job of deadening room acoustics.

Two different kinds of foam!
Received and there were two different products in the box. One was actual studio acoustic foam that was a harder sort of a scratchy material. The other (majority) was a much softer spongy material that was a lighter color and much more cheaply made. On top of that, the squares were not cut 12x12, instead 12x11 1/2 and were off aligned when put together, which would eventually make a huge difference when piecing together hundreds of squares- see picture. To make things worse I had to PAY UPS to return them since they all expanded upon opening and would not fit back in the box. Cost me valuable time and money. Looking further through reviews now I see someone else posted the same thing. Sure these will work fine if you're looking to add some quick padding to a dorm room or something, but to put in a professional studio I will definitely buy elsewhere.

Seem good, can’t compare to others...
Put up 24 of these (two packs) in an echoic 12x15 room. Certainly did reduce the echoes, but I simply cannot tell if this foam product is better or worse than other products. Did not seem particularly dense, it’s fairly soft and flexible. Used 4 squares of sticky mount to put up on wall, which worked well. Note it’s about 2-1/2 inches thick, and the grooves are about 2 inches.

I love it!
Searched through different websites to find it here. These are 2inches thick, 96 pics for $199.00 is a good buy.We live in a corner lot and very heavy traffic. We used in our master plus my office room and the noise have tremendously improved compared to before noise. So far so good!

Nice product
Very nice product and good quality for the money. The adhesive has given away on some pieces and I have had to use a staple gun to keep them up. I even sprayed on my own adhesive But they will fall eventually due to heat unless they are Stapled on.

Work well but quality control issues
They weren’t very uniform in their shape and had a lot of scrap pieces that were barely attached and needed to be pulled off before installing but it was easy to do that. So they work well; just not the best quality control.
