FarnamRepel-X Lotion Fly Repellent for Horses and Ponies lotion 8 ounce

We have been using the thicker ointment on our donkeys faces for a couple of years. It got really expensive and it also made the donkeys look really messy since they have a fluffier coat on their faces. I found this lotion and it has worked much better. The donkeys are pretty and free from flies. I do think it could be a tad thicker because my donkeys act like I am putting water on their head - they really don't like water on them. But with enough treats, they will accept anything. We live in the high desert - not a huge fly issue where we live fortunately.

Love this product. I have an older horse and the flys love his white muzzle. I just rub it all over his face and no flys. Easier to apply also.

Good lotion for horses. It’s easy to apply and works well.

Product works, the packaging however… the lack of common sense at my expense is unappreciated.

I’ve tried many fly sprays, and this is the most effective lotion I have ever used on my horses face around his eyes and muzzle lasts a long time and repels flies better than the spray effective would highly recommended

This stuff is great. I apply (while wearing gloves) delicately around my horses faces and near their hooves where flies often enjoy terrorizing and afterward the flies dare not return. It actually works and keeps my equine friends happy! :)

The flies are never going to be gone for good, but anything that helps is great. Our horses don’t seemed bothered by us applying this and it really helps keeping the flies off their faces.
