YKS Rover 75 OBD2 Inspection Oil Service Reset Tool For BMW

The inspection reset took a minute or so. Put it in, turn on the ignition. Hold the button down for maybe 30 seconds to a minute (felt like a long time), done. You need to turn the thing to get it in a correct position. Just spin slowly it with downward pressure until it goes in.Nobody has these except the dealer or a specialty guy. Not a big deal to look at the warning lights when you start it. But for these few bucks, I'd rather it be right.I have a Z3, 2000, under 50K and nearly perfect.My baby.

Ok theres only one reason to buy this item, You own a BMW / Mini / or Rover. and you need to reset your service lights.. and this product does indeed do this function. Now all this device does is create a short in the pins for a desired amount of time. so very basic and very cheap. I feel like if a puppy were to step on this it would break. but its really not a tool youre going to thrash around.. A note on the seller. They're great the item comes as it should ships within the time they say it will and arrives as fast as it can though I suspect it comes across by boat because the wait was a bit lengthy. But what can we do? Global shipping takes time.

The harness/pins of the tool do not fit/match the receiver on the two cars I bought this tool for: 1987 BMW 535i and 1988 BMW 635csi.It appears to be the wrong tool but has "For BMW (1982-2001)" printed on the tool. Also, I ordered it on November 1, 2013.It took until December 4,2013 to arrive from China and came in a zip-lock bag with some foam wrapped around it inside a flimsy plastic bag.It appears undamaged but pretty poor packing for overseas shipping. Still waiting to see what their return policy is and will report how that all works out.

No, it's not particularly sturdy, but to get the oil light reset it does the job. We plan to take good care of it and keep using it, and at this price it sure beats taking my car in for an oil change.

no good for 98 bmw 528i i reset my oil ligt jumping number 19 and 7 turn the key don,t turn the car on count 10 secons and disconet the cable don"t buy this s*** check videos on youtube ..

The service reset tool did exactly what it needed to do without busting the bank for the DIY user. Shipping was quicker than advertised as an overseas item.
