The best popcorn I've tried yet.
I use alot....alot of popcorn. Sorry Orville but this popcorn is just as good or better than yours. I was so impressed I reached out to Great Northern myself and the customer service rep told me this is the same popcorn that many theaters, ballparks, and convention halls use. It is much cheaper to buy in bulk. I was advised to pour it into air tight jars and store it in a cool dark place. Not the refrigerator. It will be good for at least couple of years.I've tried other brands including Franklin's and Orville's, and popcorn kernels sold at department stores like kohls, and in my opinion this is hands down the best. My wife agrees.Keep in mind other factors influence your popcorn including how you pop it, the oil used and the salt or toppings.

make great popcorn - just seal it to keep fresh
My wife and I always loved popcorn, but we are officially popcorn junkies now, thanks to the Whirley-Pop and good, cheap kernels bought in bulk (like Great Northern Premium Yellow Gourmet Popcorn 12.5 Pounds). We make popcorn about 2-3 times per week (when watching Castle: The Complete First Season or Psych: The Complete First Season), and we've found the best way to make it like movie theater popcorn without spending a fortune on coconut oil (like Paragon Coconut Popcorn Popping Oil (Gallon)).For 1/2 cup of unpopped kernels, use 1 tsp of salt, 1/2 Tblsp of corn oil and 2 or 3 Tblsp of margarine, cut into ~1/2 Tblsp chunks for quicker melting (we prefer Imperial margarine - to us, it tastes the most like real butter). Put the oil and margarine in at the same time, but leave the top open while you crank the handle (this is to let most of the water from the margarine evaporate and escape, and avoids condensation dripping back down and cooling off the oil/margarine mix once the popcorn is added). Once the margarine is melted and a fair amount of water vapor has escaped (about 30 seconds after the margarine has completely melted), dump the popcorn and salt into the Whirley-Pop and close the top. Pop as usual. (Note: 1 whole tsp of salt may seem excessive, but about half will remain on the bottom and sides of the popper when finished.)Just make sure you keep these kernals sealed up tight (with maybe a drop of water, to keep it from drying out) to keep them fresh.I hope you find this method helpful.

Self-Proclaimed Popcorn Freak Approves
I've always loved popcorn. In the last couple years I lost 60 pounds and a huge part of that was eliminating ALL packaged/junk snacks unless it was a special occasion or holiday. That included microwave popcorn and the garbage that goes into it. So I bought a hot air popcorn popper and drizzle a little olive oil and shake it up with some garlic salt and that's become a nightly snack for me. So let's just say I go through A LOT of popcorn and have tried various brands. I was happy with a generic brand my local grocery store offered that actually popped up better than most brand names. But when they didn't stock it on my last shopping trip, I had to come online and find a decent deal on a bulk amount. This brand is delicious! It has a great aroma and popped up nice and golden and fluffy. Because I use an old-style air popper it's easy to see exactly how many kernels go unpopped so I counted: 7 unpopped kernels in the popper and 2 in the bowl. And that's out of a HUGE bowl that most normal people would share between three people except that I'm a piglet so I eat the entire bowl myself. Hey, I'm keeping the weight off, this is my one splurge! Anyway, that was great but what I personally liked even better was the lack of "hard small pieces" at the bottom of the bowl. There's always some that pops but stays small and hard, but I found I ate all the way down to just a couple of those little pieces, so it wasn't just that more popped, but also that it popped better. It has a terrific flavor too and I realize I've been missing out in the flavor department! I found myself "mmm-ing" all the way through the bowl, it is very tasty stuff. It's a little more expensive than what I was eating but I'd say it's worth the difference. I will absolutely order this again as long as it's offered with Prime shipping.

Disappointed. Tough popcorn.
Very disappointed. Kernels don’t fully pop. They are still tough and leaves kernels in your mouth or teeth. Not good quality like the brand jolly. The popcorn is tough. Only way I know how to describe what I mean.
