NOT HomeKit compatible
August makes pure garbage using cheap Chinese BLE modules with ranges of 15 - 20' MAX. "HomeKit" ONLY works with this lock if you are in Bluetooth range. The crappy hub they ship has almost no range as well. This is what happens when you buy the cheap BLE junk. You have two ways to connect to the device: BLE standing close with our iPhone and with HomeKit OR the August App as long as the crappy hub can reach your router with WiFi.Why is it that reviewers who claimed it was HomeKit didn't do more than regurgitate the propaganda they were fed. This is a gross misrepresentation of the product features. One more thing....programming it is also a pain....very poor directions and no reasonable response from the device to know when it is done correctly.Other than that it is a wonderful door lock.
