Solid Swiss Quartz Watch
If you are in tue market for a Swiss quartz watch that has a dressy but bold look this Victorinox INOX is for you. I purchased the green faced full stainless steel bracelet version. My three initial concerns from reading and Youtube videos were, 1. Size and fit, 2. Green color, and 3. Non-deployant bracelet. First, I found it very easy to remove pins from the SS bracelet and properly size the watch to fit very well. Once sized correctly the watch is very comfortable. Since the size was proper, the weight was not an issue and the whole package was nice to wear. I place it third in my SS bracelet watches as being one of the top in comfort behind my Rolex Submariner and Seiko Orange Monster. Second, the gree colored face concerned me at first because I did not know exactly the shade. Tue green face is a flat OD green almost split pea color, very different and very nice. Third concern was the non-deployant, open SS bracelet. The bracelet is opened and closed by a small clasp which Victorinox tends to think itbis stronger than the average deployant clasps. Once you open and close in a two step process it works well. I guide the clasp through the open link where is catches on a ridge the part of the clasp. Once the link is caught on the clasp you just close the clasp and it snaps flush with the bracelet. Same goes for opening, you can pop open the clasp and the link will catch on the clasp. Pinch the two ends of the bracelet together and it separates. Easy. Other things to note, the markers are luminous, not really good (there should be more), but each marker is framed in shiny metal which allows it to catch light well into the evening though in pitch black you will need to charge the lume with a light before seeing well. All in all, I feel this watch will be a goo active watch if you are looking for a solid Quartz watch with a nice screw down crown (200m WR) and nice solid body and bracelet. I have had this watch on week, but have traveled on planes with it, I found myself taking it on a 5mile jog and have warn it with a suit and found it fit alright under a dress shirt. I would recommend for the price, durability and conservative style.

I LOVE IT!!!
I have became a big fan of watches in the past few years or so. I have typically opted for Citizen Eco-Drives, Casio G-Shocks, etc. I recently began shopping for a watch that fits my needs better. I wanted something that looked refined, while at the same time having that robust & rugged look. The Casio G-Shock, while durable & rugged, didn't look quite right with business attire. It is something you'd wear fishing or hunting, not to business meetings. So, I began the search. I found the Victorinox INOX on Amazon by searching for "military watches" & it immediately got my attention. I love the look of this watch. It has that refined expensive look & feel, while maintaining the durability of a purpose built military watch. That brings me to my next point. This watch is built like a tank! The case is thick & heavy & at 4.66 ounces (total weight with paracord band), it is probably heavier than some people will prefer. I have little 6.5" wrists & was very concerned about the size of the watch, but I took the risk. It's big, but not unbearable. The camo paracord band is a very nice touch. I didn't like it at first, but I am getting used to it after wearing it for several hours. As I said before, this is a watch that's appropriate with business casual attire, but will also go well with cargo shorts & a t-shirt. If this watch wears well after a few months I may grab another one with a leather band to wear with my suits. One more thing worth mentioning is that I purchased the watch & paracord band separately. This is because the watch with the camouflage paracord band was over $100 more than the watch that came with just the green band. By purchasing separately I saved quite a bit of money for the exact same watch. I did NOT get the Naimakka paracord band on Amazon, but it is the exact same one sold with the watch.

Big, thick, ugly, clunky watch
This is one of those watches that looks far better in photos than it does in person. As soon as I opened the box and took one look at it, I was already preparing the return. There's no excuse for a quartz watch to be this thick. I have automatic watches that are half as thick as this thing. Not only that, but this thing is just plain ugly. It looks like something meant for a kid, a "LEGO watch" as someone called it.

Nice watch, terrible clasping mechanism. Not much thought in the closure of the band.
The watch itself is very nice, and well made. The band is what attracted me to the watch in the first place. It is well made, and looks unique. The clasping of the watch is another matter. You almost need two hands each time [and you cannot use the hand the watch is resting on the wrist. It should have been a simple buckle with link, or velcro, or something. The box the watch came in is very unique as well. The back up band is plastic and not attractive at all. Knowing this beforehand I would have passed on the watch. I have since changed out the band to a leather one of the same color.

So far very nice
I got this from seller "Carlton". It seems with this item, each watch ends up being sold by a different seller. That's why he price also changes often. I purchased it here after a bad experience with another online retailer (not Amazon). My husband wanted this watch for Christmas, so my review will be initial impression, and will update after my husband wears it awhile.Everything looked good when I got it. The outer box seam on the inside liked a bit worn, like it had been opened many times. Everything was included in the box. The watch had been shaken loose a little from the display case but was fine. The plastic was still on the band and on the back of the watch. No plastic on the face, but no scratches. The watch was working, not sure if it was supposed to be disabled in order to conserve battery life, but at least I know it works. The watch is heavy and solid and comes with a rubber bumper for the face if you decide you need that. The warranty for these watches will not come from Victorinox...it will be a lesser warranty through an Amazon seller. I think, though, for a quality watch, it is worth that gamble to save money. At least I hope so! I guess we will find out.Five stars for now...will update!

Solid watch with Victorinox quality.
These Inox watches were unknown to me a few weeks ago but my interest was piqued when I read about the durability testing during its development and decided to seek one out. These are expensive in the the UK, about £350 to £500 so I was very happy to find one on Amazon global for less than £200 including import taxes and priority delivery and promptly placed an order. Amazingly it only took 36 hours to come from Louisville Kentucky to Devon UK so outstanding service from Amazon.I'd seen quite a few videos on this watch but it looks way better in the metal. I love Victorinox products and this does not let them down. Rock solid build with flawless brushed and polished surfaces. The crown is the smoothest I have ever come across and the dial is simple and well executed under a lovely sapphire crystal. Lume is okay but not the best and fades quickly. The bracelet is substantial with no rattling. The clasp system is very secure with an etched logo, although it can be a little fiddly in operation. There are push pins instead of screw links but they are thick and of the highest quality I've ever seen on a bracelet. The only niggles are that the second hand is slightly off on the markers however, this problem even afflicts high end quartz watches so a minor issue. The other is that the box was a pretty basic branded cardboard type. Maybe the fancy packaging I've seen on some reviews bumps the price up so no big deal and at the end of the day it's a box that will end up sitting in a drawer. All in all very happy with this watch. Fantastic service from Amazon and a great price for what's considered one of the toughest watches in the world.Edited update;I came across a few comments on a YouTube video alleging these watches are fake because of the sub par packaging. I suspect they are possibly factory seconds or overstock end of line items that are sold to third parties and reboxed. As for the watch. I have been over it with a fine tooth comb and compared it with hi res photos and videos etc and I am 99.9% sure it's genuine. Of course, the Chinese are masters of counterfeiting but there are always small details that will give them away and there are none here. I also very much doubt they would devote so much time to replicating a $500 watch down to the smallest detail where you couldn't tell the difference. There is nothing out there to suggest they have even bothered to do a low grade Inox copy.

Great watch
I bought this watch to take on holiday with the intention of using it for some Caribbean reef diving. I have a number of other watches, just took a shine to the look of this one. Really impressed, good solid build, excellent time keeper and a good price on Amazon UK. Just can't fault it, even bought a brown leather strap for it so I can wear it every day. Not been off my wrist since I received it. Very very pleased.

An honest description.
Heavy, very heavy, wonderful and fantastic. The hands land on the markers, not missing at all. Good time keeper, STRONG, BRUTALLY STEEL. Why this watch is not sold in Amazon UK is beyond me. Switzerland is nearer to the UK than America, still, my watch came from the USA and had to wait nearly two weeks to arrive. BETTER THAN ROLEX for sure. Let's see if your Rolex survives several tones in weight on top of it. Mind you, the metallic bracelet is quite difficult to lock.

cheaper to buy this via amazon us, and considering the absolute quality, it's definitely worth the money... well pleased with this watch

Not for the faint hearted.
Quiet a chunky, heavy watch, but feels very sturdy. The clasp is a bit fiddly. Also I expected the pips and hands to be luminous, but they are not. Still a great watch for the price.

Great watch
Beautiful watch. It's big and heavy, yet feels very refined and solid as a rock. Enjoyable, stress free Swiss piece for those who want a nice watch but don't want to worry about wearing it.

Great Concept, Great Construction, Bad Quality Control
I originally purchased the INOX from an authorized dealer in Edmonton. I noticed after my purchase that the hour and minute hands are slightly out of alignment such that when the minute hand reaches 12, the hour hand is slightly behind the hour marker it is supposed to be on. I am aware that it is common for seconds hand to be sloppy but the the hour/minute hand alignment was a major disappointment.I thought it might've been an issue with that particular sample from the dealer so I purchased another one here. Same issue. The hour hand is behind. Again.Needless to say I will be returning the Amazon purchase and will seek warranty service on my AD purchased model. Considering the rest of the watch is so well done, the hands are a major-league fail. Another minor-league fail was that Amazon sent me the rubber strap version instead of the steel bracelet version that I originally purchased but I'm not hugely concerned about this thanks to Amazon's great refund policy.Despite the disappointment of that issue, let's take a look at the rest of the watch:The case is extremely solid and well made. The steel is thick and yells "Quality" in your face. Although the case is beefy, it isn't overly large and the 43mm is a very reasonable size for a watch of this calibre. Regarding that monobloc construction claim, I can see that the centre hexagonal piece of the watch is cylindrically screwed into the outer metal frame, effectively making it a non-monobloc case. A tiny bit of marketing rubbish but given the high-quality of the case overall I'm not complaining. One noticeable feature of the case is the oversized crown guards. I am especially fond of this design because it makes crown damages pretty much impossible without being overly bulky. The dial of the watch is also well-designed. The date window placement is up to personal taste but I find it pleasing. The date change is also quite smooth, starting at about 11:20 and ending at 12:15. This is a very acceptable timeframe and is far better than some other quartz watches around the same price range. The crystal feels solid at 2mm thick. The hands are also very legible since they have a high mirror polish and reflect light easily. The lume, on the other hand, is abysmal for a watch priced circa $500. Victorinox claims that it used SuperLuminova (C3? C5? C1?) but after observing both my samples I don't think that's true. The lume is somewhat below average compared to other similar watches and a typical Seiko diver shines much brighter/longer than this piece of work. The bracelet of the INOX is quite unique in that it detaches like a regular two-piece strap. The benefit of this is that the buckle mechanism is very strong yet thin, making it very comfortable to wear. The downside is that when unlocking the bracelet, it is difficult to hold onto the bracelet if your hands are slippery. Then again, if you drop the watch (I did) you can rest easy knowing that the INOX will always live to die another day. The overall fit/finish of the bracelet is quite good without any rough or sharp edges. All links including the end links are solid steel. I wish they used a stronger spring bar mechanism such as a screw-in steel rod to further enhance the strength. There is a YouTube video of a guy attaching the INOX to his harness while being lifted up by a helicopter. With the flimsy stock springbars, I'm not inclined to try that stunt myself.I did get a chance to look at the rubber strap version since Amazon shipped me the wrong model and to my pleasant surprise that strap was extremely good. While it's nothing fancy, the strap does perform its intended purpose much better than the average strap. The rubber that was used is of very high quality and flexes much better than other similar straps such as the Seiko resin straps for their divers. Skin breathing is also acceptable when the rubber strap is worn.Final thoughts: great watch, great construction, great concept, bad quality control on this one specific issue. If they can get the hand alignment thing solved then this will be a 5-star review.

Duro 1 año
Me duró 1 año 1 mes funcionando.

A very substantial, beautifully finished sporting watch.
This Victorinox watch is unique in both colour and appearance. As such, it is very much a personal preference; some will like it, others, not so much. I do. I do not find it "over-the-top" in either appearance or the choice of band colour. It is a bright orange to be sure; it is not at all garish when actually worn which it certainly could have been had the design not been as restrained as it is.The ownership experience did not begin well. The watch arrived beautifully packaged in the O.E.M. box along with all the factory paperwork. The problem was, the watch did not work! No life at all in the electric movement. I called Amazon customer service, explained the problem, and in no time, I was accorded a full reimbursement for the cost of a replacement battery as well as the cost of the installation and sealing of the case at the Victorinox service center in Toronto. Nice! When the watch was returned a week later, it worked like a charm. It is a joy to wear. It is obviously very rugged and designed to withstand more than average knocks if not outright abuse. It keeps accurate time; it is easy to read at a glance with its contrasting dial and hands; it is not so heavy as to be a burden on the wrist when worn for a long period; it is, as noted earlier, not garish, but it certainly is noticeable due to its bright orange band.I am very happy with this watch especially at the price I paid on Amazon which, incidentally, has since risen.

Uhr Top - Amazon, naja....
