Works properly; adds quite a bit of smoke in a pellet smoker.
Simple and straightforward. There are lots of these tubes on the market and this one was the right price. It isn't going to look bright and shiny after the first use but that doesn't matter. It seems like I get about six hours of smoke when the tube is full. The holes don't clog with pellet ash but I brush it out anyway. The S-hook is very handy for storing the tube on a BBQ tool hook when not in use. The tube also cools off pretty rapidly when emptied. I've been using it in a GMG Daniel Boone.

Simple and effective
Who'd have thought a hexagon with holes in it could effectively turn a charcoal grill into an effective smoker? I've used it on pork shoulder, bacon-wrapped chicken, and tenderloins, with pellets and hickory chips, and I've been able to get a half-inch deep smoke ring without the hassle of snaking coals. My only complaint is getting the thing initially lit. I don't have a cooking torch or heat gun, so instead i've used a single lit charcoal to start the tube, which can be difficult to keep smouldering. Once the pellets or chips are lit enough to let off smoke, though, I haven't had to relight it.All in all, this is well worth the cost. I highly recommend it!

This is a must have......gives you good clean smoke flavor turns any grill into a smoker
LOVE IT...This is a must have...I bought a pellet smoker and was not happy the amount of smoke flavor ..I saw some people were using them and some were against...The truth is its a must have..turns your pellet smoker into a real smoker ...It makes clean smoke the nice light blue you are looking for!!! I have also used it in my propane and it infact turns my everyday propane into a perfect smoker...I would not be without this..fill it with pellets and stand it on end...light it...the tube will burn like a candle let it burn for ten minutes then blow it out like a candle and place in your grill someplace where the fat will not drip on it and let it be it will smoke for 5 hours or so...the die hard pellet smokers will talk about over smoke....and dirty smoke and over smoke....this is not true this gives you the smoke you are looking for as a pellet grill seems to come up short of smoke....I bought my tube in desperation to find that true smoke flavor my pellet grill lacked....so get you one its great....I have no dog in this race...just my love of good food

Works for me.
I wanted a fast way to put some wood chips in a gas grill to get some extra flavor. Foil packets work but it's kind of a pain, this works and it is not a pain. It looks good laying alongside the steak too~I have not tried it for the pellets yet, I feel like it would work even better for them.

Great Smoke Tube
Bought this to cold smoke cheese. Followed the instructions to heat in grill to 275C for 30 minutes to burn off any manufacturing oil. Did a test run with Apple pellets in my gas grill with the grill off. Lit for about 30 seconds with a propane torch and got them going. After 10 minutes I blew the flame out. It's been going for 45 minutes and is producing good smoke and minimal heat (grill grates at about 40 degrees, it's about 35 degrees outside). I'll update the review after more experience, but so far it seems great.Update: I used the day after my test to cold smoke cheddar cheese with apple pellets. Smoked in a gas grill for 2 hours. Stored cheese in the fridge for 24 hours and tested to confirm the smoke flavored the cheese. As expected, it needs a few weeks to mellow -- Can't wait. Day 3 I smoked more cheddar, mozzarella, swiss and gouda using hickory pellets. Again, the tube smoked for at least 4 hours and created plenty of smoke -- the results can be seen (and smelled) on the cheese.

It works!
It works! I was having issues with an electric smoker not producing enough smoke at low temperatures. This fixed that issue. You do need to light the pellets for a few minutes prior to blowing them out, I used a creme Brule propane torch to get the pellets going then blew out the flames after a few minutes. It then produced smoke for roughly 8 hours. I'm really happy with this purchase, fixed my issues.

Smoked Cheese in Warmer Weather
No more waiting for cooler temps to smoke cheese. Only tried pellets, takes a bit to light, torch idea seems like a good option for next run. Opens the door to cold smoking. Great results with both test runs.First run, third week of April in FL in started 7:30 AM 70-85 degrees, finished before noon, even Goat cheese survived the mild temps in the Weber kettle.

Smoke teriyaki wings with it, guys!
Finally had a chance to use the smoker! Got it to step up my barbecue game.I wasn't sure what pellets to use with it but I got the Apple ones. This smoker comes with a hook so it's easy to use and to start a fire with butane torch.I smoked some teriyaki wings as an experiment and they turned out DELICIOUS as you can see on the photo. Now I stuffed my freezer with meats and fish to continue the experiments! Also I like that it's hexagonal shape and won't roll around as the tube one would. Metal seems sturdy and won't burn down with your pellets for sure.Hope my review was helpful and you will have a smokin' weekend, guys!
