It works like the one I had
I had one of these (different brand) since high school ( I’m almost 70 lol) I dropped it and it no longer worked . I panicked because I could not find one that was simple and simple to use . Then I ran across this . It worked perfectly and does my hair wonderfully . Good product … would order again ( if I live long enough) but I think this is going to last like my old one!

Great for fine hair!!!
I have very soft fine hair. This styler works like a dream for me. I can gently dry and style my haireffortlessly. It's not too big and bulky. It works quickly, It's not too hot and the combs on it do not grabtangle or tear. I am completely delighted and recommend it to anyone with fine hair.

Light weight
I love Hot Tools products. I have been looking for a Hot Tool air styling brush for awhile. I have had at least 3 in the past. This is not the one I was looking for but its the only one that was a styler not a volumizing brush. So first off I do like this brush it is light and easy to handle. The cord is long and it does not get too hot. It is warm enough to do a good job in a fair amount of time. My worry is its been about a month and a half and the top part of the brush is starting to wiggle and it seems like it may fall off soon. Hopefully it doesnt because putting that aside this has worked well for me.

Excellent Hair Styling Tool!
I've been using these hair styling tools for over 20 years! It used to be manufactured by Helen of Troy and I bought them from Sally Beauty Supply stores. Now, it is called "Hot Tools" and is sold through the Helen of Troy company in Texas. It has always been the same tool with some minor changes here and there. FIRST, you need to know it is NOT A HAIR DRYER! It is a hot air "styling tool". You can use it on your dry hair, or you can wash your hair and dry it with a dryer, leaving it damp, then use this styling tool. I buy the 1-1/2 " size because I want a more relaxed curl. My hair is very straight, thick, and finely textured. This tool makes it so easy for me to get ready in the mornings. I just grab a chunk of hair and count to 15 or more and release. I've never had it tangle my hair! I probably use it on 6 or 8 sections of my hair while counting to 15, each time and I'm done! Doesn't get much easier than that! The tool lasts a long time, 3 or 4 years, with daily use. You DO need to keep lint out of the air intake area at the end of the tool. I occasionally use a straight pin, with the tool off and unplugged, to gently lift out any lint that might collect there. It probably works best for short to medium hair. I've used it for both. I also used it on the ends of hair when I had long hair. You just can't wind your long hair around it. I highly recommend this great styling tool!

Don't buy, poorly made, didn't last a month
this product quit working within 3 weeks of using it, and i couldn't return it because the time had expired. i started purchasing this hot air brush years ago when it was sold under the name vidal sassoon, and most of those hot air brushes lasted for 2 to 3 years. they all had an overheating problems but continued to work after they cooled down. my thoughts are that over the years the inner components of this product have been reduced to the cheapest that can be found on the market, resulting in a piece of useless junk. i liked this hot air brush because the barrel's bristles are a sturdy plastic that provide good results, but now it's time to find something else.

Seemingly disappointed
I ordered this after receiving the Revlon volumizer dry brush. I was looking for a dry brush that would potentially put a bit of wave and movement in my hair. Let me start off my saying I am a professional hair sylist and. I know how to use these products. I know what to use in my hair to prep it to make sure my hair style stays. I am very familiar with the Hot tools brand an have had many other products that were satisfactory made by them.My first impression was "Is this fake. Is a joke? joke? The construction of this is very flimsy. Very week. I feel if it was dropped the handle would shatter. I feel it's like something I would find in the dollar store. It is not typical construction and quality of a normal Hot tools brand.I remained optimistic and tried it. It does get super hot which is a plus because it will eliminate heat damage. It was lightweight and easy to maneuver my medium length hair. You could not use this solely to dry your hair. You would need to pre dryer to 85-90% dry before use.The curl release button does help for when your hair tries to tangle. I really wish this had flexible bristles like a round brush so you could really work it to set a curl in but it doesn't so tangling is increased even with a bigger diameter.I have used it 3 times and each time the curl/wave stays for very little time. I can fit round brush my hair with a standard round brush and blow dryer and it stays all day. This doesn't even stay for 2 hours tops.I do have to say I spent time reading the reviews before I bought it and I saw tons of women saying they had gotten it tangled and stuck in their long hair and they were using the 3/4 inch. That diameter is way to small to use in longer than 4 inches of hair ( and that's pushing it) so if you choose to order you MUST order a bigger diameter for the length of hair or you most definitely will get it stuck.I ordered a 1 1/4 inch for a looser curl.I will definitely be returning because I can get a better result with lasting curl/wave with a round brush and blow dry

This was a great purchase!
I love this hot air styler! I use it to style my heat resistant wigs and it ever so gently straightens, curls and tames my wigs. Well worth the money and works very well.
