It'll give you some more fan inputs and adds a fancy flair to your computer.
Everything worked as it should, hookup was painless. Lack of direction is a key thing, if you never installed a fan controller. Two bugs about it. One its not visible looking down up it. everything looks the same and lighted up, you literally have to be eye level with it to actually be able to read it. Which my computer sits on the ground, so i'm always looking down to it so if i really wanted to see the screen, i have to bend over my chair to see. Also to note, i'm not sure if mines malfunctioning, or i missed something. But every time my computer turns off, the options i selected for the device completely resets, time, speed, date everything. also the alarm just randomly goes off until i hit it a couple times and it stops otherwise the reading are accurate and it does change the fan speeds when pressed. One of the sensor's isn't reading the heat, but I believe its just how I positioned it. Only reason I bought this was honestly for more inputs for my fans. So it does that for me. otherwise it looks nice?

Instructions were marginal at best but it's a simple design and easy to figure ...
Well build unit. Instructions were marginal at best but it's a simple design and easy to figure out.. Includes a hard drive LED to show hard drive activity that replaces the normal indicator on the computer case. Not sure why this was added but I did not use it. The major problem I had was mounting the three sensors. Little squares of tape are included but they did not properly secure the sensors. My system is water cooled and I finally used a zip tie to secure the CPU sensor to the outlet water line. The other two sensors were attached with high temp teflon tape that worked much better. Unfortunately after a few days of operation the CPU sensor failed (possibly because of being zip-tied to the water line), and I removed the entire unit. Fan speed control was not my primary reason for using this unit, I just wanted a way to monitor the CPU temp to make sure that the water pump was working. Not returning the unit but no longer using it as I downloaded as CPU app that displays my CPU temp on the corner of the screen..

Kingwin Performance LCD Fan Controller.
It works fine but the back light for the screen is waaaaaaaaaay tooooooooo bright and the tech support stated there are no adjustment for it. You have to see it directly up-close to make some kind of adjustment. Kingwin Performance have other products that works well but this one is not one of tlhem. Other than the crapy back light the fan controller for which I originally bought it for works great. That's the only reason it doesn't have a one star.

May need a replacement 2032 coin cell battery out the box
Bought the fpx-002 fan controller. At first I was disappointed in that the controller didn't maintain it's memory and reset the fan speeds to the lowest speed at power on. Luckily I already had on hand new 2032 lithium coin cells. A new battery measured 3.3v. the battery that came with the fan controller was 2.7v. the new battery did allow the controller to remember fan settings. It remains to be seen just how long a battery will last. Apart from that it lets me set my fans better than the cheapo Mobo I'm using.

The HDD sensor went bad and I sent the unit in for replacement
I've purchased two of these and received one replacement. The first I bought from another seller, it lasted for at least three years. The HDD sensor went bad and I sent the unit in for replacement. The company sent me a replacement at no charge. The replacement didn't last nearly as long about ninety days the same HDD sensor went bad. I wasn't pleased with that. Now to the third unit, the light is brighter. If there was some way to dim the light that would help.

This is My 3rd Buy - Love These Guys - Great Operation After Years of 24/7 Use
I've been putting these little guys into the CD-ROM bays of rehabilitated servers and PC's. Adds good cooling control and let's be honest.. makes them look great. I've had two running 24/7 in two 2U servers for the past couple years. The LED's haven't dimmed at all. The clocks can get out of sync through power cycles but that's an easy fix and not a problem for normally on devices. Will probably be buying more soon.

Looks good, Functions better.
4 temp monitors. C/F and you can see what your machine is doing. Bought this for my first build to put every bell and whistle on it that I could to build my confidence. This controller adds piece of mind and looks sweet in the console. Directions are a bit bland but you can figure them out. If you overclock this is gonna be a must.

It's decent
UPDATE: DONT BUY! 6 months into owning this thing the clock on the system no longer stays set, everytime i restart my computer it has to be reset to the correct time.... totally defeats the purpose of why i wanted this lol do not buy it sucksDoes the job, although I don't like how the time display seems to only be in 24 hour mode.. And the screen seems a little faulty, it shows the display and everything fine but sometimes some of the lights inside flicker slightly and I can tell already this thing probably won't last me a year of use.. But it's doing its job and working fine so far so no complaints there!!Overall decent fan controller for the money, but honestly you could probably find one that's a lot better built then this for a bit more, despite that this one works fine it does feel very cheaply made.

Party like it's 2019!
I only really bought this for the clock. It's all I wanted out of it.PROS: Reasonable price when I purchased it, and I don't know where there is a comparable product (for the clock feature.) I like the colours. I'm only controlling two fans, so this suits my needs, and it works.CONS: Unless there's some sort of firmware available, then I don't know how it will display the correct date after December 31, 2019. That's the caveat. Note also, that the clock is independent of the system. It has nothing to do with the operating system clock or the CMOS of the system. When your system is shut down or suspended, the time and date will be unavailable. The display is not the best. It can't be read from extreme viewing angles. At a 90-degree angle, the screen appears to be purple, but as the angle decreases, the backlight is black. It's not intuitive for configuration, but the user guide is sufficient. Keep one nearby.I installed this in May and it's not saving settings in mid-October. I'm not sure if this coincides with my recent implementation of putting the system to sleep instead of continuous use. It may just be that the included battery is past its lifespan. I highly recommend installing a brand new 3-volt (2032) battery before initial use.
