I used mine for the first time, growing a variety of lettuce. We were able then to eat fresh greens in salads and sandwiches in winter. Mine had six plants and lasted for months. Next I'll try the herbs. I recommend this for anyone who likes fresh food and growing things.

My husband and I love this. We had two issues with it early on:1. We received 2 dill and were missing one of the basil pods. We contacted the company and they immediately sent us the basil pod at no additional charge.2. The thyme didn't grow at all... which is OK since we don't really like thyme but it was disappointing.Everything grows fast and healthy. Only wish is if it wouldn't grow SO fast since we seem to waste quite a bit due it's growth speed.

The item arrived quickly and was in perfect condition. The garden was super easy to set up and my herbs were sprouting within a week. Just a few weeks later and I am harvesting herbs daily. One herb didn't sprout and it was very easy to claim a replacement on Aerogarden's website and it arrived within days.

Picked this thing up after I finally caught up on paying stuff off. Was fascinated by videos on YouTube about how efficient hydroponic systems can be. This thing has started my journey with growing using hydroponics systems. Setup is very simple, pour water into tub. Add a cap of plant food. Put pod on the pod rack. Cover the extra holes with tin foil squares to block light going into tub. Plug in and set time and grow light type. And that's it. There's nothing like seeing your first sprout in this hydroponics system. Almost seems like magic. I started with the herbs to test it out. I've progressed to the cherry tomatoes. I've been hung up on this plant because when it really got going, I experienced my first algae problem. The algae stopped the plant dead in its tracks. Make sure you wash the pod rack tray in the dish washer!!!Take it apart so its in two parts and washes really good!!! If you don't wash, algae will start growing in it and kill your plants!!! I can't wait to progress to growing berries. My dream is to have a little glass greenhouse in the backyard full of aero gardens and all sorts of berries!

This is basically an over priced expensive planter. Its easy to use and set up, and the plants do grow. When you look at the cost, its going to take awhile for it to be cost effective. So this basically is only valuable as a hobby more than anything. In any case, mine lasted 8 whole days before the screen turned blank. I of course contacted the company, and they provided a fix, which did not work. Also looked online and tried some other fixes, which did not work. They only provide customer service during weekdays, so now I am waiting for their response as there first fix was not successful. My contention is, at this price, this thing should be causing problems after 8 days of use. If it was a cheap item, I would not be so angry. But for the cost, they need to do way better than this.

My friend said she absolutely loves this garden and the plants are growing very quickly. Her kids are getting involved and talking about what they can grow in the future. Also, it looks great on her counter!

I bought this for my wife's birthday, after she just ended her outdoor gardening for winter. She set it up that night and we've already harvested our first fresh lettuce. The herbs have sprouted, but they seem slower to grow (she's the expert). This is going to be a real treat for cooks, as it's easy to have fresh herbs all winter.
