I am a petite 5’2 should I purchase this or a 4/4?

I purchased this for my 8 year old son and it suits him perfectly. I think a 3/4 size would be more suitable.

Does it have a trust rod?

Yes it does, but remember it's a cheap guitar so sound quality is not wonderful.
