Great DisplayPort USB-C Hub with useful and reliable outputs - 3 full screens on MacBook Pro 2017
I've gone through three USB-C hubs since I first bought my Macbook Pro in 2018, all from different makers (Aukey, Vaio, [unbranded]. This is the first one with a DisplayPort option. I use it alongside another USB-C hub for dual widescreen displays (HDMI + DP) in addition to my MacBook screen's display. None of the other reviews I've read have made note of this possibility for the MacBook Pro. If you use both USB-C ports and use this one to charge your MacBook, you can easily power three full displays (including your laptop's screen). I could probably substitute the MacBook's screen for another external monitor if desired, but this is plenty.I paid the most for this model of the four USB-C hubs I've purchased. I need it to hold a connection with my computer, which it does, and to charge consistently through the charging port (also a success). It must withstand some rough and tumble use, which it has done remarkably well so far. It feels durable and well worth the precious real estate of a USB-C output. I've used nearly all of the outputs on this hub at once for hours on end and it does not overheat or sacrifice performance.A great reminder that paying a little extra can sometimes go a long ways.

Small, functional, and a good value for the money
I tried two other products before settling on this one. The other two rejects were an issue with the seller (selling used products marked as new) and a hardware compatibility issue (no matter what I tried I couldn't get my laptop to recognize the Thunderbolt device). This one is not Thunderbolt (which is what I as looking for) and so far has worked very well.Pros:- small, light, and comes with a handy bag for when you need to toss it into your laptop bag or backpack- power delivery port is in the back of the device (some other products put in the front, which doesn't seem good)- the 5 USB ports (1x USB-C, 2x USB-A 3.0, 2x USB-A 2.0) on the front provide more than enough spots to plug in everything I need; the USB-C is especially nice since my laptop has only one USB-C port, which is taken by the dock itselfCons:- the integrated cable is rather short (6"-8"); a 3 foot cable would have been much better- the placement of the card readers in the back seems odd; a better configuration would have been to put the RJ45 and second HDMI in the back and the card readers on the side- when I wake laptop from sleep, the monitors do not wake up unless I unplug the dock and plug it back in (it seems that this problem has to do most likely with the DisplayPort protocol and not with this particular device)Overall: Small, functional, and a good value for the money

Great, but stopped functionality after 1.5yrs
I bought this USB hub for my mac about a year and half, almost 2 years ago (Jan 2024), and have loved it! It works well, I work a hybrid job, so I use to connect to my multiple monitors at home and at my office (only dual monitors, not triple), as well as my keyboards and mouses (mice?) at both locations, and when I travel. I heavily depend on this to be able to use my peripheral items in my work. HOWEVER ..... I'm now having issues with the HDMI ports in the item, which seem to no longer be working properly. I've tested multiple monitors and HDMI cables to know that the issue is with the adapter. And since I heavily depend on a second monitor in my work, this adapter has become significantly less helpful. I must now find another hub to replace this one. But i must say, I guess 21-ish months isn't too bad of a run.

Everything you need for quick connectivity via USB-C.
First world problems, I know, but stick with me here:I work from home several days a week. I have a work assigned laptop that I used to do this. Except, that unlike most people, I don't directly work on this laptop while at home. Instead, I plug it into power and networking (and other accessories as required) and then I use my personal desktop computer to establish a remote desktop to that laptop. This ensures that I don't accidentally browse or do stuff on my work laptop that might expose it (or my company) to anything malicious. It also allows me to keep my VPN software exclusively on my work laptop. That said, it is annoying to have to use the bloody proprietary cable to provide power. Then I need to plug in a network cable. The laptop has wireless capability, and under normal circumstances, it works quite well. Except my circumstances aren't so normal and so to ensure a stable connection I choose to have it directly plugged into my network. Then, when I'm done with working and need to go into the office, I have to unplug everything and stow it in a bag and head to work. My company won't issue a second docking station. What I needed was an accessory that would help me consolidate connections, cables, etc, while providing the power and connectivity I need while at home (or traveling). This USB-C hub provides just that!* Power - With this hub, I no longer require my laptop proprietary charger as it also features a USB-C port that can be used to supply power. I just plug the hub into the laptop USB-C port and my USB-C charger cable into the hub (the USB-C charger is also used to charge and power other devices as needed).* Ethernet - I just leave my network cable plugged into the hub so that when I plug the hub into my laptop, voila I have network connectivity. I don't have to use the laptop's RJ45 jack or connect using a suboptimal wireless connection (walls lined with power conduit make for a crappy signal on the far end of my home). This connection consolidation saves me some time and hassle. But then there is the ability to connect storage via the USB-C female port, or the available USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports. Or I can use a mouse when I need to work directly on my laptop (trackpads aren't a strength). If I were a secret agent or casual photographer, I could use memory cards to quickly exchange and transfer data off of them onto a computer that doesn't have these ports. In my case, I sometimes exchange memory cards between my Surface Pro.When traveling, there is also an HDMI port and a Display Port I can use to connect external monitors for a full mirror mode capability or desktop extension. All of this functionality while being in svelt form factor made with quality material. It even comes with a felt carrying pouch.I love it!
