Best image quality out of a lens Ive seen!

No matter how old it is now, there are not many equal zoom lenses out there. This lens can only be improved by making it 24-105mm, f1.8, or stabilized. The build quality is not the best I found in Lumis S Pro because I own the 70-200mm f2.8 feels stronger and compact, maybe because it is not an internal zoom and has more assembling parts. It is expensive but it deserves every penny. The chromatic aberrations management is even better than the lens kit 20-60mm which is very good. I tested Sigma 24-70 f2.8 #I and the lower price and better build quality didn't convince me. That is a good lens but this is 20% more sharpened in the middle and 50% more sharpened in corners, parfocal, less aberration, less distortion, and fast autofocus. Youtube videos don't do justice because it's price. You have to test it as I do to keep it. Very happy with my "like new purchase" to save 550 USD. Thanks Amazon. Thanks, Lumix, Thanks Leica.

Im sure this brand is a solid, but so happens I ordered this lens brand new and it shipped via PROCAM. The manual clutch is loose. Feels like a refurbished item even though I bought this new. For a brand new item, it shouldn't feel worn out like it feels. Returning this item is a headache. If your order went thru PROCAM and they deem it not defective, they charge a 15% restocking fee. if you don't have the original box..(which I don't, and a lesson learned to hold on to original boxes) you can't return this item at all. Amazon told me that the return instructions are just a guideline and to send it anyways, but I called PROCAM to make sure and they confirmed they won't except it. At this point I feel ill have to use the warranty thru asurion but asurion is referring back to amazon. amazon is saying I need to send back to seller, but I can't because they don't except item without original box. I talked to Panasonic and they referred me back to amazon. so Im stuck with a defective brand new lens. Trying to get ahold on Panasonic to see if this is covered under the manufacture warranty now. This is my first time experiencing this, but next time, ill drive if I have to find a lens I need. Makes things way less complicated if issues like this come up again.

This lens is definitely a must have in your bag. Heavy but strong

When mated to the Panasonic S1H, this zoom lens becomes a full ‘prime lens’ kit, with excellent clarity, resolution and speed throughout the zoom range. No focus breathing, no-click aperture ring, and a clever auto/manual focus selection ring mean a no-compromise zoom with the look of a prime in any focal length. Pricy, but so is a full set of primes. In my opinion, this S Pro is visually and functionally equivalent.

I love this lens as it’s quite versatile - 2.8 offers decent low-light performance whereas 24-70 offers good range. My go to lens.
