I have very thick hair, so other people may have more success with this than me. But it felt this doesn't bend/curve like I need it to. I can't quite bend it tight enough for a bun (plus there's not enough material at the ends to overlap for a good bun anyway), and it seems to want to go back to being straight/unbent. Like it's both too stiff and too weak at the same time? I don't know. Keep hoping Beachwaver brings theirs back, it was way better than anything I can find now.

Does this get your hair into a doughnut bun, yes? It does what it says however, that being said there are easier ways to do it. I found it easy to slide it through and roll it up but connecting the ends to make the bun seem seamless was a pain. The ends never wanted to stay together and always ended up slipping apart. I ended up always needing bobby pins which defeated the whole purpose of this product, IMHO. I say go with the usual way of doing it or use an old sock.

These are fine. I guess I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting, but these are just wire, padding, and thin foam. I realize that a silky or satin fabric on these would likely prevent the hair from holding, but I would have liked to have seen some sort of fabric on this and not just the foam. I'm knocking a star for that reason, because they feel unfinished, and likely overtime this foam will dry out and fall apart. That said, I actually managed a low bun on my very, very thin, layered hair, and I managed it without first putting my hair in a pony, so that's a win. I did find that I'll have to put it in a pony to do a high bun, but low didn't require one. It will crimp your hair and mine did get a bit tangled in it (again, a better fabric would have helped this) so be aware not to yank it out because it won't just come straight out.

This works perfectly with any type of hair. Very versatile.

These seemed good and the reviews were good but once we got them and tried them, they didn't hold up very well. Not great for thick hair, falls out easy.

I have a hard time with doing my hair and purchased these based on reviews thinking it would be easier. I find it is easier to use the sponge circles to make a bun over this any day. I've tried numerous times and the best I can get is a sloppy looking bun. Every time I try to pull my hair up and start to roll, it drops hair and I have to start over. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but this is not easy for me to use at all. Disappointed since it did look easy.UPDATE:I decided to look up a YouTube video since I spent the money on the product before throwing it away. The video was very helpful, I found I was trying to roll my hair the wrong way. It still drops hair as I'm rolling some, but overall I get a secure pretty chic looking bun. I use it all the time now!

It seemed so simple, yet I couldn't get them to work. I put them on a shelf and glared at them for a couple weeks. Then, one day after showering when I wanted to get my damp hair up I tried them again. So much easier! I have very fine, silky hair and they just wouldn't work with it dry. With it damp I had no problem. It stayed in so well I slept with my hair up and it hasn't moved at all. Don't judge, lol, but my hair has been up over 24 hours and the bun is still in place.

Cheaply made. One of the foam cover tore in half just coming out of the bag! I do not recommend it

Useless product, did not work at all like in the description, even had my partner try to use it on me in case I wasn’t doing it right.Doesn’t stay closed, hair falls out, and “fanning hair to hide the bun maker” simply doesn’t work.If I can’t refund these they’ll sadly become landfill. Wish I’d read the reviews first.

Ordered a few different products for my daughters and this is my favourite. Lightweight, easy to use, holds in place with elastic and bobby pins. Not sure how long it will last but I’ll definitely be ordering more.
