ZIWI Peak Air-Dried Cat Food – Beef - All Natural, High Protein, Grain Free, Limited Ingredient w/ Superfoods (14oz)

I recently purchased the ZIWI Peak Air-Dried Cat Food in the Lamb flavor and my cat absolutely loves it! I appreciate that it is all natural, high in protein, grain-free, and made with limited ingredients including superfoods. The air-dried method of preparation locks in the nutrients and flavors, making it a wholesome choice for my furry friend. The 35.2oz bag is also quite convenient and lasts a good amount of time. Overall, I highly recommend this product for cat owners looking to provide their pets with a nutritious and delicious meal option.

Very good food for my ferret. I know that it's for the cat which I also have.But my ferret eat it . Because ferret food it very unhealthy for them it has a lot weath in them and they can not digest it plus it has some type of oils that are toxic to them . One of my ferret got very sick and I try to take it to the doctor but they would not accept it because they are exotic animals.But this food works great for them.It is very expensive would like that the oz would be more for the price.

This food is marketed for, and used for, cats. However, it is a well known and well loved brand in ferret care as well. My ferrets adored this food. It made their coats soft, their poops stink less, and overall gave them the energy and spark that all baby ferrets should be known for.Pros:- Easy to serve- Easy to store- Easy to portionCons:- Strong smell (Con for people, not for critters!)- Switching from standard cereal kibble to a food this rich takes a little longer. Be patient!

I do recommend this brand for the quality of food and other choices of freezedried foods they offer. I like that the kibble it tiny (small pea-sized). It is easy for kitties with or without teeth to enjoy. All six of my kitties will eat it but it becomes a bit costly and an inconvenience to keep up the supply at my home, plus increased waste of extra bags (environmental)

UPDATE 03.18.2018**- We no longer feed this food to our cat. Although she loves the taste, it caused her to form bladder crystals. $1000 later in vet bills and diagnostics, we have figured out the issue and have a path going forward.- Unfortuately, while Ziwipeak and other brands say that 98% of their ingredients are meat, this does not mean that 98% of their food is comprised of meat or crude protein. Rather, the other 2% dominate the actual food composition. Their breakdown is around 33% crude protein. We learned that cats should be eating about 45%+ crude protein.- Wysong Epigen 90 and Dr. Elsey's Clean Protein create the highest crude protein dry foods (at 55-56%). However, since Wysong Epigen 90 updated their recipe, many people have complained that it causes diarrhea and even death in ferrets. Thus, we have stayed away from Wysong and went with Dr. Elsey's. She's been healthy since we put her on RX food then switched to Dr. Elsey's for a month.- STAY AWAY from dry foods below 45% crude protein.-----OLD REVIEW:This is my cat's favorite food.We feed a mix of: Petcurean Fresh Acres + Ziwipeak air-dried beef + Only Natural Pet freeze dried raw. She sorts this one out of the mix and eats it first. It's like a treat.Cons:- Amazon has had a hard time keeping this in stock for repeated deliveries. My scheduled deliveries have been cancelled before, and I had to wait months for Amazon to restock.- Extremely expensive, tiny size. Wish they made bigger bags for cats, so you can get more bang for your buck.

If you have a picky cat that is used to a specific food texture and doesn’t like to stray from it, this might not be the product for you. It was good quality, smelled fine, and my dogs loved it as treats lol. But unfortunately my cat just wasn’t interested. I think it’s because it’s still a different texture than normal dry kibble and he didn’t like that.
