I ordered the Vantage Self-Healing Mat, 12" x 18" size, black background. This model comes with both metric and Imperial markings. The back side is plain - no markings. Both the topside and underside may be used for cutting. I measured the thickness with a micrometer at 3mm or 1/8 of an inch. It weighs 22 ounces or about 600 grams - surprisingly heavy; which is good.It actually does a "self heal" (bit of hyperbole but close enough) and I found it very useful when cropping photos and for craft cutting.If you need a cutting mat, Vantage makes a great product and I highly recommend it.

Outstanding product! It has just the right amount of resiliency for art knife paper cutting. I am able to cut straight lines and curved shapes without digging in to the mat too deeply, and it does not slow down or allow the blade to get stuck. The 9 X 12" surface is just the right size to accommodate standard size papers and my hands without having to spill over on to the work table. I had previously used an 8-1/2 X 11" mat and the extra inches make a big difference when resting my arms on my table.

I bought one of these early in my pandemic mask-making days because I wanted to use a rotary cutter to cut out mask pieces. I'd had a chance to try a name-brand mat in the past, but I couldn't justify the price when I was looking for one of my own. The Dahle mat was an amazing deal. It's got centimeter as well as inch markings, and it's held up beautifully despite my initially overaggressive cutting style.I recently bought this item a second time when I wanted a smaller mat to use with a turntable. Looking at prices, I decided to buy the 12 x 18 again and cut the old one in half for a turntable mat. (How do you cut a cutting mat? Score it deeply with a big box cutter and snap it.) Worked like a charm. I recommend this mat highly.

I like this mat for it's thin profile. I use it for heavy leather work so most of the cuts on it don't "heal" completely. But it is still useable and 10x better than a chunky cutting board. This mat is stiff but still slightly flexible and a good value. The angle markings and measurement markings seem to be accurate and are useful.

I love this thing. I plan on building garage kits in the future but for the mean time what I actually primarily use this for is a mouse pad. Seems that they don’t make hard mouse pads much anymore and they sure don’t make them this big. It’s perfect for this function as well as cutting. It’s also a makes it easier to see small nuts, screws, parts of what ever you may be working on. It’s nice and thick not light weight at all. I have kind of cheap Formica desk it sits on. It really does move much but I prefer ABSOLUTE ZERO movement from it. I just applied regular kitchen cling wrap to the bottom of it. Trimmed the excess and it feel like it’s glued to the desk now Hope this idea helps

This mat is nice and thick and seems to be of excellent quality. I may even order a few more to use as place mats.

Es buena, la compre mas que nada por el color, es resistente, pero si marcas muy duro o tienes mucha presión en tu mano a la hora de cortar dejará unas marcas (líneas de corte) blancas, no tan visibles pero perceptibles, de ahí en fuera todo bien.

Buena calidad y buen tamaño para trabajos manuales

Acabo de recibirlo. Muy buena calidad de superficie. Recibí el que tiene divisiones en medidas inglesas (pulgadas) no estoy seguro si existía la opción de escoger medidas métricas. En cualquier caso tiene doble vista y en la cara opuesta al estampado es completamente negro, lo que lo hace sumamente estético. El material si se regenera parcialmente después del corte. Se puede notar en segundos. La marca del corte no desaparecerá totalmente pero es muy evidente como el material se cierra después del paso de la navaja.

This mat is very thick and I think it will last a long time. I am using it for small trimming and cutting projects
