Great AMP for the money
I use the SMSL SA300 to listen to music at my office (about 13m^2), mostly while I sit at my desk. The source is my desktop Computer plugged to a TOPPING E30 DAC. I use it with a pair of Monitor Audio Bronze 2.I appear to have received the later version o the AMP (with ROCK spelled correctly). It is more than capable of driving my speakers, and I really like the fact that the music is intelligible and enjoyable at really low levels. While the internal DAC is convinient, it is not as good as my external DAC. I do not like the sound from the BT connection at all, but I presume that this is a general BT issue rather that the amp itself.I would have preferred a cheaper version without the sub-out, the internal DAC and without the BT connectivity.Other than that:- the form factor, while it is actually smaller that what I was expecting (which is good), I would like it more if it was of similar dimension like their older SA-50 amp.- the display that stays always on. I can imagine that a future software update could enable turning off/on the display e.g. via the remote as well as when there is some interaction with the volume dial or power/input button.

Powerful sounds from a tiny box
A serious upgrade from the little Denon mini system that I had been using. The sound is punchy and “full” and powerful enough to drive my 4ohm KEF floorstanders. I can max out the volume setting without deafening volume so I’m skeptic on the rated power but perfect for a smaller/medium room.. Most music genres sound good but EDM or anything with a strong beat really comes alive on this thing and also brings out midrange detail. The interface is basic but usable and I doubt I will use the remote control. I am seriously impressed with this amp - this is not audiophile money but its brought a huge grin to my face and can’t stop revisiting my old music collection. I haven’t been this happy since selling all my old Arcam kit a few years back.

Sharp and Clear
If you like a clear, sharp and detailed sound, like most class D amps, then this is the better of the bunch. If you prefer a warmer, fuller sound then I’d stay clear of this and stick to class A/B amps, albeit they are larger.Or go with one of the hibrid class D amps with tubes. The sub output is a nice touch.

Excellent HiFi AMP, in such a small package.
I'm quite an audiophile, and I like to use Hifi bookshelfs for my PC audio, but I don't have much space on my desk, this is definitly a desktop king in terms of small amplifiers, high RMS out, good clarity, simple to use controls and remote. Only potential downfall is no 3.5 or 6.35mm Jack for heaphone output.

Brilliant unit, simple, small but sound nice :)
Well built unit and is powering two of my AE floor standers. Sound is solid and non-distorted even at high volumes. Using it with a remote bluetooth link from my PC at the moment and well chuffed with it.

Fantastic sound
I bought this to replace my 35yr old Technic Amplifier/Receiver that has been doing a sterling job of sound amplification for my computer for the last 20yrs. I'd been considering a new amplifier for a few years now, and when I recieved 100GBP of Amazon vouchers for xmas, my mind was made up.The SA300 amplifier sound is so much better than the old amp, there is just no comparison. I'm no Audiophile, but even I can hear nuances in the music that I'd never heard before. The sound is a lot more 'wholesome'I have my laptop connected to the USB input of the SA300, which, to my tone deaf ears, seems to give slightly better sound than using the RCA inputs. I've tried the bluetooth input, and I can confirm it works well, but thats not really what I purchased the SA300 for.Slight noise from my speakers with nothing playing at max volume when my ear is 100mm away from the speaker (but this could easily be the 25yr old speakers), but nothing to worry about. I'm not a fan of quiet music, so I don't expect it to ever bother me.I'm happy I made the right decision buying this amp. It fits nicely into my computer setup and does sound really great.

Adequate
I got this to replace an aging Kenwood KA3020 Special Edition as it needs some love. The reviews were very positive for this and yes it does sound ok, but after using the SA300 for a couple of weeks the Kenwood is now in bits being serviced. The SA300 Just does not have the Punch of the Kenwood or in my opinion or sound as good.Other than that the SA3000 works very well as the other reviews say, but it just sounds .... ok.
