great flavor & texture
This is my current favorite organic bread. In addition to having an excellent flavor, this bread is very substantial with a crust that challenges the dentition, which is just the way I like it (can't stand that squishy, wonderbread-y stuff). It makes superb toast, great sandwiches which won't fall apart, and unlike softer breads, it doesn't tear when applied with a dense spread like peanut butter. It is rather expensive, but the slices are large and the quality is worth the price. A piece of this toasted with a modest application of Trader Joe's balsamic glaze and a few slices of ripe organic avocado is sublime.

The best commercially made bread I have ever eaten!
My favorite is the rye sourdough! It's made with the old fashioned wheat, I can tell, so it is delicious and digestible. Lovely toasted, just with butter. I wish Whole Foods would carry it again - none of the brand they now carry compare and I have tried them. This bread is also not filled with sugar, so it is good with anything savory. Please offer more variety over the internet, I will save my points for this bread! :)

By far the best grocery store bread
I get the Peasant bread most often and it’s delicious toasted. It’s too dry to use as it comes for a sandwich, but no matter, keep it in the freezer and just toast it from frozen. Of course $7 is OTT for bread but here we are. The SF sourdough is good too, as is the French sourdough; the difference between them is French sourdough is whole-wheat whereas SF is white.

My husband grew up eating homemade sourdough bread and loves Bread Alone Sourdough!
My mother in law always had a sourdough starter in the refrigerator and baked fresh sourdough bread every weekfor the family. My husband's uncle also owned a renowned bakery, so my husband is very selective when it comes to choosing a good bread. Bread Alone sourdough bread is one of his favorites. I am happy because it is organic and has no preservatives, so he is not ingesting pesticides or genetically modified wheat. If you are not going to eat this delicious loaf right away then pop it in the freezer, it will stay fresh and tastes delicious toasted or not your choice!

Fantastic bread, it really seems like substantial food
This bread is a favorite in our house. It tastes best either heated or toasted. It is fairly dense, so a little goes a long way. Because it has so many seeds and whole grains, this bread can sometimes be a little crumbly to eat, especially if used for sandwiches. It can be a little "crumby" for consumption in a car, for example. Still, it makes some of the best gourmet toast around, really great.

Taste & Texture!
One of my very favorite breads. Perfectly delicious. Texture is outstanding if it hasnt been in plastic. If it has, or it's humid, it's also seriously tasty when lightly toasted. So good it elevates eggs and toast. Only issue is inflation keeps pushing the price up!
