Good replacement for Proform Safety Key
Purchased this to replace our missing Proform Safety Key.It works as well as the original at a much lower cost. This key fits perfectly. We have no complaints about it.I recommend it for anyone that lost their original safety key.

Exactly what I needed.
I don't actually know what's considered "universal" in the sense of treadmill keys. I couldn't find the exact treadmill key replacement I needed, but it kept recommending this one. I bought it to try it out and low and behold, it worked. I will say that, even if this key isn't the correct size(the original safety key was square-ish) it still worked as intended and the magnet doesn't fall off by a slow walk or fast run on the treadmill.

We had the floors redone in our house redone and lost the treadmill key. We have a Gold's Gym treadmill and this seemed to work with no problem.
