Works with Battery Tender plug ends. However, the red/black polarity is reversed on this port. "Heavy Duty" is borderline questionable.Update: DOWNGRADED TO "1" STAR - Buy the Toeduk ones. Available here on Amazon. I have owned both. This Zamp doesn't even compare. The Toeduk is 12 AWG, tinned wires (all the way through), the plate is more rigid, the cap has grooves for easier grabbing, and the polarity is correct. Lastly...MUCH better SAE jack fitment. Not too tight, just snug

In use and serving our purpose well. Note the wire is adequate but stiff, would have liked more flexible wire that is comparable, oh well. Mounted on a 120Ah battery box for quick and easy charger connection.Update: 12/21/17ATTENTION BE ADVISED: These are great products but there is one problem I forgot to mention and now after ordering a second one, we must mention it.The polarity is reversed, it was reversed on the first one and now the second one. It's a simple fix, just switch the wires and if you desire, mark them appropriately with red and black shrink tubing or tape. This is just what I wanted--BUT--I made a trailer hookup on my lawn tractor this was the socket. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is the wire is aluminum. Its not a deal breaker but every elec item I have pretty much ever bought has been copper, so I was surprised this was aluminum. when you strip the wire back do it gently or you will break some of the stands. Its large probably 10 gauge. don't know if it said it in the ad or not but it should. aluminum is not my first choice.

Incompatible with most of my SAE 2 pin flat connectors. Maybe it works with some other Zamp products, but it definitely isn't a good fit for most SAE quick connect plugs. Tighter than.... it needs to be.

Does not work with Zamp SAE plug end coming from 120 Watt solar panel. Either they were different sizes or just a poor match on size. Broke the pin off of the plug connected to the solar panel, so now I need to do a different plug connection on the solar panel. I'm going to use Anderson connectors instead, so it's compatible with Go Power accessories. Can't find just the terminal piece for an SAE plug anywhere anyway, searched Amazon and internet for a couple hours. Only find ones already connected to wires, so then I would need to do a butt connection, which I don't feel is very secure for being out in the weather all the time.

The cable I received had ALUMINUM wire, and was very stiff. The photo on Amazon shows copper wire. The ends of the wires were tinned with some kind of solder, so you couldn't see whether it was copper or aluminum. I cut off the tinned end, and stripped the insulation, so I could crimp on a terminal. The wire strands were aluminum, and very brittle. I used the cable, but I am disappointed that it used aluminum wire.

Worked great for LED light mod on my travel trailer. Since I didn't have an easy way to hardwire my awning light strip I just decided to use an SAE extension cord that could be removed when traveling and would plug in to the light strip directly into the sidewall port for power. I installed the port directly behind the front awning support for a clean look. Once the awning is extended the port is easily accessible. The lead wires are very heavy gauge and the receptacle is very well-constructed.

I thought I was buying 1 and got 3!! Awesome! I love my Zamp solar panel and this is a great accessory for it. I have a retail business and setup and sell at outdoor trade shows and fairs. I provide my own power with an RV battery and charge it with my Zamp. Lots of light at night this way and I can run my cash register as well. The little wimpy clips that I had did not have the gauge wire necessary to give me a good charge. That has changed with this plug. I am mounting it directly to the battery box for convenience and put battery connectors on the other end of the wires. Hard wired is always best.

Used this to connect my Renogy Solar Suitcase to my RV. Just a word of caution. Zamp for whatever reason has chosen to reverse the polarity on this plug. This is easy to correct and match your system.

Works great, easy to install. Just remember to check the polarity when installing it to a non Zamp panel. Other panels are usually reverse polarity compared to Zamp panels.

Works great just check the polarity of your solar panel as Zamp Solar plugs are reverse polarity to many other brands. Just reverse the wiring connection if yours is the opposite.
