Zishta range of products are hand-made by these traditional rural artisans who have been making them for generations. We travel through the country in search of such traditional knowledge residing with different communities and bring it back for you to experience it. Traveling to rural TN near Salem brought us in contact with a group of artisans who make these specialised stone ware. Made of Soap-stone, they can be used to make amazing Kuzhipaniyaram (sweet & savoury). These cookware have high heat carrying capacity and helps in reducing overall energy consumption. This cookware needs to be treated well before you start using it for cooking. Treatment procedure is shared in leaflets along with the product.

Poor quality soap stone.
Very poor quality soap stone. Cracked when I used it the first time itself. I use several soap stone vessels so I always keep it on low flame. Inspite of that it cracked. It was supposed to be pre seasoned by the company.
