You want to invest into your marriage or encourage a friend. I have found this worth everything. Such food for thought and helps you appreciate your spouse which we can take for granted easily. I would have brought loads more if I had the money!! I feel every married couple should read it.

If you've seen the 2008 movie "Fireproof" then you'll know exactly what this book is. But you don't have to have seen the film to read and benefit from the book - it stands alone.The "Love Dare" is a 40 day programme for one half of a couple to carry out on their own. Each day has a short meditation, a bible verse, and a 'dare': something, perhaps something very simple, to do for the other person.The book's premise is that true love is unconditional, so therefore you need to keep going through the book regardless of your partner's reaction. If, as in the film, things are thrown back in your face, that's going to be hard going...but quite possibly lifechanging.This book certainly has the power to rescue a failing marriage. But it would also bring fresh love and fine tuning to any relationship. And check out the appendices for a simple list of questions to ask your partner concerning his or her thoughts, feelings and aspirations. Simply doing that did me a power of good.

This book offers very practical, tangible ways to improve your relationship and helps you to consider your own thinking and the role you have to play in things, which is not something that always comes easily to many people. I would HIGHLY recommend it to any individual who is in a struggling marriage and is wanting to do something to save it. Try these 40 days before giving up on yourselves. Be prepared to work hard, examine yourself, change things you are doing, and love again. Buy it for a friend in need. Different from many relationship books in that it gives you concrete things to do and apply, rather than a lot of theory. Has been helpful to me and my marriage, and I think it would also be a beautiful thing to embark on for a healthy marriage to keep it happy and healthy. Can do it alone of work through the 40 days together.

"Fireproof" is a thought provoking film and book about relationships. The old fireman's adage: "Never leave your partner behind" applies to our relationship with our partner/spouse. The film and book looks at the basic principles behind good relationships - and the director's commentary to the film is excellent and worth listening to and not preachy. This book "The Love Dare" is given by the father to the central character in the film "Fireproof" and consists of 40 days of tasks/actions. It's so very difficult to have a healthy relationship with our partner/spouse if we do not have a relationship with God. Do watch the film and read this book. There is an associated study guide for the film for you and your partner to work through together and this book can be given to someone who has a relationship problem. I loved the film and found this book helpful.

Anybody that has hit a BUMP in their marriage and wants to revive things and get back on track, then this is a definite for you. Only one partner reads this book and then puts into action the challenges without the other one knowing about the dares. Many of the dares make such a difference in ones personal life, ones attitudes not just to marriage but to the entire family. If you want to make a difference - then take up The Love Dare!!

This has been recommended by our marriage counsellors to try to bring more positivity and appreciation into our marriage to strengthen it. Glad to get it at a bargain price as a good condition second.

This book is of great value. As an English male, it was a bit hard to read because it was very wordy, and rather flowery in its design. But it is so important that it is worth getting past all that to the substance.

The books arrived very quickly within 2 days, it's a beautiful book I also purchased one for a friend who is about to get married they said the book is wonderful and couldn't wait to start reading it finally we have a manual on gods love language

I got many books to improve my marriages before but they all seems foreign and not identifiable. And a friend recommend me to this book and it I have been following it daily and I am loving it. I don't know if it will improve my marriage at the end, but it sure makes it easy for me to read and apply the daily dares.I have since recommended this book to all my married friends and will without a doubt recommend this book to all who are interested on working on their relationship.

Love these cards. I still use them everyday and change it each day on my refrigerator as a daily reminder. As you are going along with the book it's great to remind you but even after you are done with the 40 days...I will use these every day. The Love Dare is life changing and I love that I can still use them each day as my journey continues
